fuggit... just ordered G1WH from foxoffer and included the 32gb card one shot so i no need susah2 go find the stuff since the card only converts to RM75.... total came up to RM282.37 for camera + 32gb card....luckily can pay using paypal heh.

hopefully it arrives soon... wanna test it out before bringing it to SIC for track day on the 8th of Feb

and i hope its flexible enough so i can mount it on the rear passenger side window to get this kinda angle



just so that i can see how sucky or menggelabah i am in the car... heheheheheh



anyway.... now id like to ask for recommendations on a dual camera (front and rear) DVR... getting an MPV soon which my wife n son will be in most of the time, so i wanna make sure all is good.... something around the RM300 range inclusive of memory card would be awesome....any ideas? something that maybe has a screen up front so that can use as a reverse camera oso

i find that rattling sound super annoying..... anyway to get rid of it? if its just the mounts then should be easy.. but if its the camera's internals... abit the susah.





got the tracking number already for my G1WH... i guess mebbe another week it should arrive.

id still look into it... even my car handphone holder has rattling sounds when i record video and i ended up using padding a few places.... and that rattling sound in ur video sounds exactly like the rattling plastics of the mounts that i had.

oh btw...has anyone tried using these dvrs powered by in car handphone chargers? can work ah?

ive got a dual socket charger... one socket pushes 1A n the other is 2.1A... can it work? coz ill need to power the camera as well as my phone at the same time

hopefully it arrives thia week though I have my doubts especially with the 2 public holidays...

as long as it arrives before the 30th, im good...coz theres a track day on the 30th that I might be joining...decided not to join the one on the 8th bcoz based on feedbacks, ignition.my organized trackdays are like "who let the dogs out"...especially since they dont really limit the number of cars...

no one has experience powering up the dvr with the handphone in car charger before? would like to avoid buying the splitter thing as it adds clutter to the car n I dont really have a good place to mount it.

as for the quality thing, I bought it mainly to record my drives...n yes I need good quality as I wanna see everything clearly....its like watching a movie at home...takkan wanna watch cinema quality? like that means better watch movies on small 14" crt tvs instead of big flat panel tvs

wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! its finally here!!! somemore ngam ngam i drove to work today, so might test it out when i go home from work tonight.

will also test out and see if the phone charger's 2.1A outlet is enough to power up this baby

G1WH Test Videos.. 4 minutes of day shots with a few different lighting conditions and 22 minutes of night shots with multiple situations and lighting conditions as well as speed...

did more of night shots mainly coz there isnt any... day shots u can find on youtube already...

night shots are pretty decent although at times i wish it was better...but definitely good enough i suppose... bulb colour of street lamps makes a diff in quality of the recording... can see it in the video.... i find white bulbs better for video quality as compared to yellow bulbs


as always... set the video at Full HD (1080p) to see it in all its glory.


i think i may need to "dampen" the microphone.. i find that it cant really take the noise from my exhaust and makes a rattling sound in the video...heck of alot worse at high revs. but not sure if its the mic... or its the plastic case itself that cant handle the noise... hahahahhaha

I've also managed to answer my own question about using the DVR with a mobile phone in car charger. answer is yes, it works. all functions like auto record during startup works... i used USAMS 3.1Amp Quick In-Car Charger...so yes.. i can record my track session and charge my phone while using a GPS Lap Timer like Race Chrono
