QUOTE(mydragoon @ Feb 14 2015, 05:32 PM) got reply from GB. item: http://www.gearbest.com/car-dvr/pp_67201.htmldiscount code: GBG1W with code, I have been told it'll be usd41.99. recall reading the price used to be usd30+. if can find any such valid deal/ price, I guess can nego further with GB. I'll probably shop a few more days to see if there's a better deal. after all, these sites like GB won't be able to ship anytime soon. long break in China. What price is foxoffer giving?

QUOTE(mydragoon @ Feb 21 2015, 10:52 AM) realised the capacitor can't last long... only enough to do a save to card. so thinking of using those action cam instead. SJ4000... looks like a decent cam... going for about rm200 OriginL sj4000 costs abt Rm330.. The ones below that are most likely fakes or mis-sold as sj4000... May or may not have the car mode and cyclic recording feature that the sj4000 has

QUOTE(mydragoon @ Feb 26 2015, 09:05 AM) Possible.. Or could be the non wifi version... Hard to say unless its in ur hands QUOTE(andyting @ Feb 26 2015, 11:56 AM) hi guys, think of getting a dashcam for my car. after reading through the posts, i guess budget around RM300, my best bet is the G1W-H/C? and is it advisable to get the C model instead to prevent overheating of the battery? Yup.. That budget can get with 32gb memory card.. If ur car is used daily then the c will do fibe.. If car only moves once a week.. Get the h..

QUOTE(kuroda1226 @ Mar 26 2015, 05:49 PM) hmm, just wanna have a recorder that with internal built battery which can last long at least 3 hour after car off engine. which is not need connect to car battery. for special purpose DVR car batteries only last for like 10 minutes after power is turned off... even action cams like gopro and SJ4000 etc also only last for about an hour...

QUOTE(owenwong84 @ Mar 27 2015, 03:55 PM) hi everyone, Which one is recommended dashcam and cheap? the SJ4000 has no motion auto record right ? G1WC i think SJ4000 might have the motion detection feature...but even in dashcams... that feature is mostly pointless. besides, put SJ4000 as dashcam and ppl just might wanna break into ur car n get it...if not have to remove every time... which defeats the purpose of the motion detection in the first place.

QUOTE(ericmaxman @ Apr 15 2015, 07:44 AM) I like the video quality of the G1W-C, hate the fact that it loses charge too soon. Whenever I got a review car, my car stays idle for 3-4 days, and all my settings gone mau trade with G1WH? my car is used daily so no issue with settings gone. if ur interested... ill have to make sure its working fine first... there was an issue with it previously... recently discovered that the issue may be caused by the SDCard that was in there... coz when i transfer the SDcard to my SJ4000, it wont boot... another alternative... start ur car for 10 minutes when u dont use it la...hahahhaa

QUOTE(e30 @ Jun 16 2015, 01:23 PM) hey, how long can the g1w-h battery last if not plugged to car charger? no idea.... but maybe 10 minutes if ur recording.... DVRs with batteries are not meant to be unplugged... the batteries in there is only meant to keep the memory like date, time, settings etc the same when the car isnt started for long... DVRs with capacitors like the G1W-C, the settings will set back to original if it doesnt receive power in a day thereabouts.
