after watching a whole lot of techmoan's videos, I've narrowed down my choices to Vico TF2+ and Mini 0801 Ambarella A2S60. Thought of spending all my money on a decent Vico TF2+ but it's large and quite obvious and most of the time the camera is going to be in the car. So I was kinda afraid that someone might just smash the windows and steal it.

So decided to get the Mini 0801 Ambarella A2S60, which is this lol:


Gonna source around and see if i can get this camera locally. If not, I'll get it from foxoffer.

So I came across this Techmoan's latest video on hidden dashcam and I thought it was a good idea. So I was thinking of disassembling my car camera and do the same, probably put a better lens (but the board itself is crap). Here's what I've got.

Threw a brand new Sandisk 16GB class10 card into my shitty G100, but still hangs and stuff. Guess it's the heat.

Any latest dashcams? Went out and did survey, not satisfied with all of them.

imagine someone just smash your car and steal the unit.

mine is around RM200. quality sometimes can be but at least when i left it in the car, it doesnt draw any attention.

for me buying this is totally different from buying a tint.

I really don't know what brand is this because this kind of camera is branded and rebranded. But one of them is called Tourmate G100.

But I advise you, stay away from this.

It's terrible.

It does gets the job done... Sometimes...

yes. mine. only the top got black tint. cheapskate owner says no need to tint front screen because i'm the one suffering... especially hot days

Spend a bit more and get a SJ4000.

For me its quite overpriced although its good.

If you guys wanted to test out dashcams before buying, i suggest you walk into Brother's at Kelana Jaya. That's the only outlet with huge amount of choices... so far.

Last time I went in but didn't have a good look at their dashcams. Will pop-in again this week and have a good look, probably getting a few for my other cars. Hopefully they sell 0803.

happened to me once. nearly ran into a mazda 6 with auto brake function. was stuck in jam and suddenly everyone slammed their brakes.

It's now sitting in the drawer doing nothing.

So i'm still not sure whether it's worth to get another one.

Can't seem to find one that works perfectly despite our weather.

overheat kot?

if this thing works well even under our hot sun then i'll get it.

I usually do that. But other drivers don't. So idk.

After comparing both 100 and 200, i think 100 is best bang for buck, and the quality is good too.

Anyone using this camera?
