after watching a whole lot of techmoan's videos, I've narrowed down my choices to Vico TF2+ and Mini 0801 Ambarella A2S60. Thought of spending all my money on a decent Vico TF2+ but it's large and quite obvious and most of the time the camera is going to be in the car. So I was kinda afraid that someone might just smash the windows and steal it.

So I came across this Techmoan's latest video on hidden dashcam and I thought it was a good idea. So I was thinking of disassembling my car camera and do the same, probably put a better lens (but the board itself is crap). Here's what I've got. ![]() Any ideas? |

Threw a brand new Sandisk 16GB class10 card into my shitty G100, but still hangs and stuff. Guess it's the heat.
Any latest dashcams? Went out and did survey, not satisfied with all of them. |

QUOTE(Xu3r @ May 9 2014, 02:57 PM) 500$ is expensive ? IT does not just video record. When you accidentally cut into another lane , it will notify you . It has speed indicators when you pass one and will tell you the speed limit It has gps built in Prompt the driver when he deviates from his lane or getting too close with the front vehicle to ensure safe driving. Tell you if there is a speed camera nearby Its like buying car tint , you like lousy fake tint and go buy it to save money or buy raytech with more features and proven same logic imagine someone just smash your car and steal the unit. mine is around RM200. quality sometimes can be for me buying this is totally different from buying a tint. |

QUOTE(kons @ May 20 2014, 02:24 PM) The new p2pro now comes with the 3m sticker instead of normal suction based sticker. yes. mine. only the top got black tint. cheapskate owner says no need to tint front screen because i'm the one suffering... especially hot days the only problem i face with the 3m sticker is that, it will be really hard to remove after few years under the sun. and the booklet comes with the p2pro mention do not stick on tinted glass for risk of damaging the tint. lol. is there any car in m'sia that have untinted windscreen still? straight change the tint lo, or |

If you guys wanted to test out dashcams before buying, i suggest you walk into Brother's at Kelana Jaya. That's the only outlet with huge amount of choices... so far.
Last time I went in but didn't have a good look at their dashcams. Will pop-in again this week and have a good look, probably getting a few for my other cars. Hopefully they sell 0803. |

QUOTE(mydragoon @ Feb 13 2015, 02:31 PM) i'm finally planning to get one for myself... planning to get what the others have mentioned... G1W. if this thing works well even under our hot sun then i'll get it.say on GearBest. Going for slightly less than usd60 (inclusive shipping). i know GB agents are on some other forums, so might be able to get some discount code from them... so just sharing another option, in case anyone is keen: http://www.gearbest.com/car-dvr/pp_67201.html i've submitted a price match thingy with GB. let's see if they can match or offer even better. |

QUOTE(mydragoon @ Feb 13 2015, 03:45 PM) a comment by a youtube reviewer on 'cheap' car video recorders is that don't expect these to be able to last long under hot sun. anyway, i guess if it can be easily detached, maybe good idea to just take and keep it somewhere safer? after all, i think we all do that with smartphones, gps and smart tags too... dun just leave it plastered on windscreen. I usually do that. But other drivers don't. So idk. |

What did you guys think of this?
![]() link: http://www.amazon.com/Transcend-DrivePro-R...cend+car+camera After comparing both 100 and 200, i think 100 is best bang for buck, and the quality is good too. Anyone using this camera? |
