Well... why not give a try to get Xiaoyi dashcam if you love the video quality.
For me, I managed to grab it from 11street much cheaper (RM135) than normal price (around RM200-RM350), seller is from lowyat forum too. smile.gif

Not recommended, do remove it out for good if you park under hot sun.
I bet you should know, the temperature inside car can gets really very hot, much hotter than the outside ==> GREENHOUSE effect.

Then the bottom of rubber seal part, it seems to be the end so the cabling just had to come out a little so I stopped there for now rclxm9.gif will continue later. Do you have tips on the end-of-rubber-seal connecting with dashboard area?

Myvi? Why don't you do it from driver side instead of from front passenger side?

Also, I was given with the tool same as above picture, then follow the steps as in the Youtube provided by blurjoey (or refer two more video clips as in below) to hide the wire, not very difficult to hide these wire, you just need to be patient and stay calm. smile.gif

gt around RM100 budget Dash cam?
*
You get what you pay for - don't complaint about the video quality, not worth it!
Why not spend extra RM50+ on top of your RM100 to get xiaoyi dashcam, after apply the coupon/voucher code in online store.

So... usually how much for a good quality Dash cam ?  sweat.gif

XiaoYi dashcam video quality good ?
*
Well... it depends on how you see it as good quality, everyone have their own preferences.
Please state your maximum budget for dash cam, RM100 is not good enough.

How I choose a dash cam?
- Youtube
- dashboardcamerareviews.com,
- read through all the post in here (maybe last six months), look for other forumer review and then decide which one you want to get - budget, mid-range or high-end model. *Hint: look for review by <blurjoey>

For XiaoYi, I personally using right now and this is good enough for me.
About the picture quality, look for the video in youtube and see it yourself, do compare the daytime and night time view.

According to the spec,
This look like downgrade version of XiaoYi dashcam if compare to previous colour gold/grey.

Reason:
- it can record up to 1080p30 using H.264 encoding (compare previous up to with 2K (1296p 2304×1296) at 30fps or 1080p60 / 1080p30 )
- support up to 32GB microSD (previous up to 64GB)

what model have for midrange? price range?
*
Strongly avoid get those dash cam that is less than RM200...

e.g.
- RM1K vs RM3K desktop/laptop
- RM1K vs RM2K mobile phone

There is no such logic that buy RM50 dashcam and expect to get quality/feature of RM200 (or above) range dashcam.
You pay for what you get, don't complaint about this if it never meet your expectation, since this is your own choice.

For me, I got my XiaoYi dashcam for around RM13x via 11street (original price RM200) after applied few coupon in last Hari Raya sales.
Google the XiaoYi review or look at the youtube for picture quality/features.

Standard usb cable comes along with XiaoYi dashcam is 3.5M, is it I have to get at least 8M? Thank you
