Hi guys, I just received my new car last Saturday. I plan to install the traffic recorder A119. But I faced some issue:

1) Will installing traffic recorder void the warranty of the tinted windows? Will there be a lot of issue stick on the tinted glass?

2) In what position you guy place your traffic recorder? As my car mirror is actually attached to the front window itself, so it will be either left and right side of the mirror.

3) For cable management wise, you guys will route via passenger side or driver side? Did you guys use any cable management tools to manage the cable?

3 x A119 user here for 3 cars.

1. No. Can remove the sticker easily.
2. In front of the rear view mirror (- slightly to the left/right of the rear view mirror stalk.
3. Passenger side. No cable management tool other than the supplied tools by A119. go view youtube videos on how to route within door frames easily.

1. So it is not necessary to wait for 3 months for me to install the traffic recorder cause the tinted was just installed 1 week ago?

2. Ok. So I think better to put right side leaning towards driver set.
3. I also prefer passenger set hehe. I watched the video in youtube before, those tools with 3M stickers will it cause a lot of problem in the future as it will stick on leather/plastic. How many supplied tools by A119 used for your car? I remember A119 provided 5 cable management tools.

Thanks!!

Why 3 months? blink.gif Wait 3 days (similar to door window), is already more than enough.
Dun remember how many they supplied, but more than enough.

Australia's Street Guardian a bit hard to get (Vicovation too)... I'm not that red like those pro reviewers in DCT...

But the SG9663DC looks like A119S with 1080p rear cam...

Have you tested the beta firmware for A119?

Not yet, but i'm quite interested in the 15sec lock previous file - i had the problem where when I press the lock video, it was actually the new file - 2-3 seconds in laugh.gif

Can get this for A119 but lose the GPS function
http://www.viofo.com/home/50-suction-cup-m...ash-camera.html

Or can get Viofo WR1 which comes with both suction mount and tape mount.

Bro blurjoey, is it true what you said earlier that Viofo is also coming out with 2 channel version of the A119? Any indicative timeline on this? biggrin.gif

I tested my in car temperature today. My temperature gauge limit is up to 70 degree Celsius & placed @ the front windscreen where my a118c will be.

I went to check @ 2.30 pm today where the sun was shining as bright as it can be. Went in to check & my temperature gauge paint melted with no digits shown which means that temperature is more than 70 degree celcius possibly 80 degrees (the digits came back soon after when temps. drop below 70).  ohmy.gif

Now have serious doubts as to whether my a118c will survive or even the a119  ohmy.gif

Also my front windscreen has a quality tint with 85% IR reduction of heat  dry.gif

Dude. I've been using the A119 for quite a while now (more than 8 months iinm), and I park outdoors during work from 8am to 6pm straight. It's still working perfectly like normal and I'm sure your A118 will survive the same. Although I put tint on my car windows laaa.

He's too paranoid. I think he think his car will melt also in the heat.

biggrin.gif you and me both are using Llumar Diamond 6, but the heat and humidity recently is crazy man... Even though with quality tint, my car will be damn hot when I get inside the car after work...

How poslaju will check la on Li-Ion batteries? They scan every mail? After this cannot sell 2nd hand phone via Poslaju anymore... need to COD I guess...

Hahaha... I still prefer my Viofo A119S...

Today my Viofo A119/A119S V2 GPS conversion kit just arrived...

Apa ini? Convert from V1 to V2? Any benefits to existing V1 owners if they don't face the GPS/power disconnect issues?

If Viofo releases a dual channel version similar to quality to the A119, I'll be first in line to buy it.

I got my tools from Aliexpress. You can try with a plastic ruler or credit card. Don't use any metal tools.
*
For the A129, do you route the rear cables on the right (driver) side of the car, or the left (passenger)?

Currently, I route my A119 ciggie power cable to the left (passenger) side, so I am currently thinking to route both the rear and ciggie power cable to the left (passenger) side as well.

You can route on either side. Whichever is more convenient and cable length dependent. Though it's advised to route through the passenger side, just incase sudden falling cables..don't distract the driver.
*
Thanks smile.gif I don't have experience routing to the rear camera. Was afraid there are other cables routed through the passenger side which might impair other car functions (antenna etc).
