- Is GPS feature very important?
- Between the two, which is more durable? and more reliable? (e.g. video records always downloadable/playable)
- Playback via app better or the display?

Thanks.

IMO GPS is unnecessary.. unless your a a fleet, then it would start to make sense.

The latter has been on the market much longer, but both gets good reviews. Your memory card plays a role as well, so its not all in the device fault for non-record/corrupted file.

Honestly, if you really need to use the video as evidence, you are not going to view it on the device. Will copy to a proper device with bigger screen (eg; external monitor). Been there, done that. Thus on app still need to download as video file, then it would be moved onto a removable device. Transferring via any mobile app would introduce further video compression/loss of detail. At most you would use the screen to aim/adjust position during install.

Which type of memory card is more suitable for dashcam? endurance?

Another question - Will hardwire void my car warranty?
*
From my own experience, I've never had any SD card fail, but it is an essential part of the dashcam. So get a genuine unit from any reputable brand (sandisk/kingston/etc).

As for hardwire, depends..hard to say, you need to consult your vehicles warranty terms for that.

i just bought blueskysea b1w dashcam on last month and has being used for almost 1week+.. before i bought it readed alot of review for few type of dashcam. and make a final decision to buy b1w. and for my ownself review it, damn great, the picture was clear on bright day and night day view was also clear.

total for whole dashcam + memory card 32gb class 10 was only below rm220.

but anyway thanks to blurjoey, that day told me this model was latest than ddpai mini (first version).

Very keen on the B1W aswell, where did you get yours?

Other than lazada, there is only 1 seller with 6 generic reviews

Not sure if it is supposed to look the way it is but the picture looks distorted at the sides with the video taking a shape of a "U".
*
Its due to the fish eye\wide lens, in order to have a more "complete" view of the scene out the windshield.

hi guys,

I would like to get a xiaomi 70mai dashcam but i don’t like the idea of wire dangling from top to the cigarette lighter port. Is there any way for me to do the hardwire to the fuse ?
*
Of course, it’s mentioned many times. You can even tap the cig port behind the socket.

B1W user for approx 1+month now.

Overall satisfied with it, video quality better than my 2014 purchased G1W which is working till today (but capacitor faulty).

For strictly under RM200, I dont find anything able to trump it.

However, try stretch abit and get the A119, seems worth it for the extra (altho I think it looks very 70's-scifi-tv design case laugh.gif

As for warranty, 6 mnths might as well be none, too short.
