QUOTE(Jason @ Oct 4 2013, 11:02 PM) I think got 3rd party apps that can do it. But put Z1 next to Xperia Ultra in Sony Centre.. straight away can see the Xperia Ultra is whiter, brighter and overall a better screen despite both have triluminous technology... Sony claims the Z1 & Xperia Ultra same technology..but when I view side by side.. Xperia Ultra is miles ahead.. Z1 looks bad beside it. I don't know about you, but Z1 screen is inferior to Xperia Ultra... which is sad. I really want to buy this phone. same technology doesn't mean they will use the same type of panel anyway head on Z1 and ZU is the same in terms of quality, until you go into the viewing angle part unless that particular Z1 screen is problematic to begin with

there's a new app / mode for our camera call Motiongraph for Xperia to get it just start your camera, at the choose mode screen, tap +App at top right corner, then dl it https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?...ngraphforxperiabasicly it can take a still "picture" with only 1 particular part moving. similar to one of the function from nokia smart camera This post has been edited by ZeneticX: Oct 4 2013, 11:22 PM

Just curious, if using nano sim with micro sim adapter on Z1, is it safe or will it stuck in the phone?

I hope that the yellow hue issue can be fixed by fw update. I remember when first release XZ also having bad display quality even when viewing straight on. After few update the display vastly improve from initial version.
Well at the man time I guess have to rely on the screen adjuster if the yellow hue is too serious for some unit.

Just now went to play play the demo unit in sony centre.. The display really loses out to XZU. It's warm! Ahh. And it doesn't seems very bright even off auto light and put on brightest setting? Waiting for maxis offer though..

QUOTE(jloi @ Oct 4 2013, 09:55 PM) Here a quick test of lowlight p/s photos directly from FB » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « ISO 400 ISO 800 ISO 1600 ISO 3200 Here the Firework mode for long exposure not exactly 1sec, it is 0.77s at ISO 50 and here twilight handheld mode. Mine shoot at fix ISO 800 and seem not much difference than normal mode and HDR mode Overall quick review - One of the best camera phone I ever use. Will go to Sunway Pyramid and do more shooting tmrw with it - ISO seem usable until 800. 1600 started to show grainy and soft image - Dislike how my setting get reseted everytime I change mode and then go back to previous mode Nice... it's so bokeh-licious...
