hmm. I'm not someone that love to share my photos. just prefer for my own collection
oh..I want to use it as my phone camera placement. my Galaxy nexus camera probably the worst camera I ever seen

yes. maybe want to use it for travelling. is it worth it? and u has bought this lumia 1020?
so how was it? do u feel satisfy with the camera performance or not?
If you were to only collect those photos, then the next question will be, is 5MP sufficient? Are you going to print it out or just digitally collect them?
Yes I have a 1020 and an 808PV. I also have a Fujifilm X100 which I'm letting go. Before this, I had this combination: 808PV as my main phone with camera so that I bring it daily everywhere I go + X100 as travelling. However, using 808PV as a main phone could be a PITA (due to the laggy browser). The camera though is superb.
Then came the 1020 which I just acquired last weekend. As a camera-centric main phone, it's the best you can get today. It has some quirk though (yellow casting, inaccurate color, over-sharpened which then results in noise and artifact), which the Nokia imaging department head has promised to fix them by bringing in 808PV algorithm in Nokia Black update. But even with these issues at current state, it's still the best camera phone one can get today ( that's because they had discontinued 808PV.

) because you can reduce those noise by postprocessing them in your computer if you want.
Honestly, at the current firmware with Nokia Cam, the image quality in daylight is only second to 808PV especially in full resolution mode. Those who had both will definitely notice it. I haven't got time to compare both side by side on my desktop monitor, but viewing pictures from both phones, the 808PV produces images which are significantly cleaner and the color reproduction is much better. With hindsight, 1020 has the upper hand in lowlight, macro focusing due to the manual settings, and easier to hold (for me). If one were to replace his 808PV as a
secondary phone then one might be disappointed; which I believe the exact reason why some people with 808PV did not upgrade to the 1020 because they are not ready to compromise higher image quality for a faster browser. But if one were to replace it as the main phone, then it's a worthy and sensible upgrade from 808PV as an overall package.
So to answer your question, currently I'm not satisfied yet because of the high standard set by 808PV. However, since you are going to buy it as your main phone, then it's definitely more than good enough for every day use. If you are on a tight budget, I recommend you to buy a 1020 now and train yourself how to capture good pic (manual settings). Then as you save more money, you can get a m4/3 or APSC compact camera in the future.
