I have this problem lol! Glad it's working fine now.

I've suggested a few people already, better off going 4G/LTE since it saves up more battery than 3G.

Function such as wifi, location, 3g/4g, bluetooth are easy to turn off in the setting.
If you don't want a certain apps to be running on the background you can easily turn the background task off to save more battery..

I've found some apps that is draining my battery a lot, like 6Tag(Instagram for WP) and some other apps.
So I just turn the background apps off and open the app if I want to see and receive updates/notifications..
Turning the background task off saves a lot of battery.

Quite easy la bro.. Go to setting> Slide your hand to the right for applications tab>Click background task > Choose the apps from the list of apps > Block/Unlock Apps

A faster option is to find an app that allows the background task option to be on your live titles.
So you can skip from going to settings straight to background task and choose which apps to block from running in the background.

For turning on/off wifi, 3G/4G/LTE, Bluetooth, Airplane mode and others there is an app that allows you to pin the option as live tiles for you to easily turn it on and off without going to the settings. App is called ConnectivityShortcuts.

Yup Raw are much better, but if you don't have time, it's good to just stick with JPEG/PNG.

920 sp should fit 1020 quite nice.
I have both phones and it's very similar in size.

Idk bro I also menyesal back when I use 920 for not applying SP.
So many scratches in 2nd day already tons of scratches.
Gorilla Glass is good but the coating is not good I guess.
Recommend everyone to apply SP if not,brace yourself for tons of scratches.

The best one ever was iPhone 4 one though for me 2 years not even any visible scratches can be felt of seen without seeing in a light. This days everything is cheap and scratch able

LOL! My SP only RM10 but so far no dust colleting in the edges.
Good quality cheap sp, so far no scratches as well haha.

I don't know la bro that is you, I always jaga my phone everything is always nice, looks like new all the time.
I have no plans on selling my 1020 though, i'll keep it for future use. Even if I decided to get a new phone, I think i'll still use my 1020 because of the camera.

Same situation with my house if I put it around my ruang tamu there will be signal but no 3g/4g.
Even my old iPhone 4, Lumia 920 and the new 1020 also the same problem.
But lucky for me most of the time I use Wifi. Signal seems fine for me in 2nd floor of my house though.
3G/4G everything is strong for me in 2nd floor.

How is your like for 3g with other phones in the same area.

I still think it's the signal though. Probably because it is weak in those area you are in.
Have you tried downloading stuff with the data plan? Download at the weak spot and see how fast it is.
And download something and see how fast it is in the place you think have better reception.

I don't really know what to say though, but the only thing I could think of as a solution for you would be upgrading your firmware if you haven't done so or maybe hard reset. But you say other phone signal are even worse though that just confirm signal are bad in those areas.

Mana ada macam tu all WP8 device will probably get the update.
Unless it's WP8 different story la... 1020 has hardware limitation? Wtf lol
