management team are important... just look at management team...

Yup, that's why a few days doesn't justify to evaluate the management team is at their best. Moreover the mall is not in its full fledge with still alot of minor touchups to peak it. Sure hope they will reach new heights in the vicinity, i got a few properties around there le laugh.gif They prosper, properties around there also naik ma rclxms.gif

ya, it reminds me of a more better midvalley megamall with all the infra and MRT coming ... alot of potential in the area, hope the management team could pull it off learning from other mall's pass ups and downs.

I think we all agree that IOI City Mall did good for the opening soft launch. One key factor is that there's no other mega mall in this area.

It's also promising that they are thinking big with phase 2. That suggests commitment and intent to maintain their "dominance" in this area.
*
true, the location is very strategic and first of the first in that area. IOI City Mall will prove to be a huge convenience to the residents nearby and they no need to travel to megamalls such as 1U, Ikano, Midvalley which is actually not near to them as often. A huge plus point there ..

if cannot survive, own stay lar.. if holding too many units.. then rent out 600-1.5k sure got ppl rent 1... even though u bought it at 1mil...
*
i have no worries, just that IOI City Mall will boost the property market around should it succeed. Even if it fails, doesn't affect me that much. There is other topics that discuss on property holding that you might go have a look.

no worries, then js leave it there and come back again after 10yrs... why are we discussing ioi can survive or not? isnt it better if what to improve or what defect at ioi city mall? and how's customer review? rather than survive or not?
*
eh because this is a thread for IOI city mall ? Anything related to it can be discuss, you can always start a new post on the questions you want to impose. Exactly what i wanted to say that is to wait it out to determine if IOI City Mall could survive instead of saying IOI City Mall has succeed just a few days of opening.

what? inside mv got temple?

there is a indian temple which refused to move so MV was build around the temple instead. If you go round around midvalley should be able to see the temple.

even without the convention centre MV will still be very successful.

Many reasons why MV is so successful including the famous Citiel SPA,  brows.gif  brows.gif  brows.gif

MV it had many doubters at the beginning, especially given the huge traffic jam it creates but still it continues to fly
*
and parking always full on weekends after evening nowadays even for Cititel hotel parking.

this temple causes massive traffic jam in MV...IGB should have paid the hindu preist to move the temple somewhere else...and treat them to a nice session in cititel spa for that matter...
*
unfortunately it is in their religion that their temples should never move.

all religious places can be moved one way or the other...does not have to be in a specific place...
*
That is one hard persuasion for Hindus though, that is why you see they would never move their temple at all except one resort to extreme ways. Try talk to your Indian friends and they would enlighten you on this. i was told by a few of my indian friends that whatsoever, their gods will not be pleased if their temple is moved.

*

How much?  Same like MV or 1U price?
*
if ure refering to IOI City Mall, its free for now. No idea on the fee since they havent install the system or put up the pricing board too. Maybe they are evaluating and adjust according to the shopper density.

OKR can stay 1 kah? Before developement edi jam like hell, after developement will be more pack? Who wanna squeeze into sardin can?
Cyberjaya different lar... You will live longer live in cyberjaya, 48% landscape, where can you find this? And it's well connected... Go anywhere 30min, include going to melaka...
OKR sound very near to MV, but if we depart at the same time from cyberjaya, probably, going from cyberjaya will arrive first at MV...
*
ya agree, too much new project in OKR. Nowadays the roads are still smooth during off peak hours and getting worse day by day especially the stretch that is more near to MV. I think it will overpopulate the area and also will affect the nearby areas like OUG, Kuchai Lama and Tmn Desa once all the new projects completed and people start to VP and move in.

This is what I am aware too.  Investing in such areas is not ideal.
*
There is a same case with Saujana Impian one of the housing areas, the Indian temple refused to move after numerous talks and in the end that one row of linked house that was scheduled to be erected on that temple's land is void and the developers just barricade the area with walls and gave up on the acquisition. IMO it is not even a proper temple, its like a shrine or something.

Icity dead comment is not frm me but perception in general. Previously alot of ppl comment on this proj. I kinda agree by visiting there.. only night park is worth a trip. Hw abt offices, mall and soho there? Are you sure ppl would buy shoebox in Shah alam?
*
there is still a cretain degree of market, but i think mostly is to buy for investment. Some younger generations are keen on shoebox type of home as long they are convenience all around the vicinity.
