Only 1 thing, if i get this car as early next week. Let say the car sent to showroom at 31st Dec 2013 (yes, i bought 2013 stock), would u go straight changing an EO? Or drive around 100km and service, or just drive until 1000km juz like normal?

whats on earth dis Proton edar servis mesra? 1 very close to my home... But i prefer Proton Edar Mutiara Damansara since it close to my office, sent it there early in the morning and left it, evening after work just collect the car...

Service Mesra Service Centre usually at the PETRONAS Station. I think they can do basic service like EO change etc. but don't know either they have the system that service centre use (SC use SAP).

Not confident wit those kind 'sub-proton' SC.... Better go to 'real' SC....

If they manage to smudge it from the inside, tell them to open it up and clean it. It should be covered by the 5 year warranty anyway. Its not your fault fingerprints are inside the HU.

I would advise not doing it yourself. Unless you know how to do it. If something breaks then you cannot claim the warranty. However if they break it, they are compelled to replace it.

yeah... me to... I'm confident with CoSE, even stay at sepang, but sent my SS to CoSE for periodic maintenance...

it is not sub proton sc. it is under proton edar, not dealer tho. Although they may not have full capability of technical assistance like COSE, for normal service and minor defect you may refer to them

CoSE also can do a mistake, I kena already. The technician overtighten my handbrake only realize when i'm reach home. I try to push the car by myself but cant move at all. When starting to move also feel very heavy. I tot just my feeling only. In fact i not request to tighten the handbrake level.

But if i going to ask for ecu/tcu update, hu update, parts claim n evrthing, must go direct to Proton Edar SC

Somehow i think, dis warranty is like killing auto industries...

the discounted kit for prosmac members also comes with the rear skirt.
it's cheap if opt to get an original kit by R3..

well the engine itself is not too fuel efficient.. changing parts would only give a 1 or 2 % reduction..

for the hu, if u remove the dash panel around it, warranty not void. if u remove the face panel of the hu, automatically the warranty will be voided.

yes. hu update is free. jellybean is not possible. not a mature enough platform.

hu update 7.26 resolved most problems. check that 1st. as for the engine oil, its still new oil. no prob going for 1k...
iinm bmw or vw dont need 1k service. they straight shoot to 10k/15k service..
servis mesra as it name suggest is handled by petronas. if just need simple oil change, its fast there. warranty claim and complaint need to go to a proper SC or SD..

stock rims is 17"x7.5jj. 114.5 PCD and ET is 45.

standard preve R3 kit. the rear part u can sell. that price include paint and pasang.
i think proton has reduced the price to 1.3k iinm...

haha..same as me. 6 month survey before book suprima. getting the car probably next week.

Khairilyazit - thanks 4 ur advice. Don't know vw 1st service at 10/15k km....just my concern is sc ask to service the car based on 'whichever come 1st'.... Service at 1k will save my voucher tho....hehehehe

yes. conti cars usually comes with service much later.. over 10k..

yes it is whichever comes first. either u do 10k km in less than 6 month or 6month and u only did 7k, u still need to service.
be grateful u got the vouchers. that saved around 3k of service fee.

us early adopters got nothing..
