QUOTE(coolkwc @ Sep 16 2013, 09:28 PM) 1. Dismantle everything until u take out the LCD from the panel. Hi Bro...2. Peel off the original polarizing film from the LCD. 3. Clean the remained glue on the LCD. 4. Prepare a fresh polarizing film and put it reversely (until you see background become dark) For 2 and 3, these are extremely dangerous and you have to brave anuf and experience to do that. Any wrong you will have to buy a whole new meter just because of the LCD. For 4, mostly impossible you can find a fresh polarizing film, i took it from my spoil 10 years old digital diary and cut it to fit. Anyway, no need to glue the new film, just put underneath the LCD will do. YOU are the Man!! Warning!! Pls do NOT attempt 2do the above... Unless yu are => Bro coolkwc... |

QUOTE(coolkwc @ Sep 20 2013, 03:55 PM) want to ask how is workshop change power steering fluid? by sucking from the container or open some nut to drain? Hi Bro... Last time during i service timing belt @ proton SC, i ask them t0 flush my power steering fluid, but they said they just suck out the old one and add new, not flush...i felt something fishy so i didn't change. AFAIK no drain plug... Wat wkshop has done is easiest way 2replace MOST of ps fluid. For better results, need 2do same a couple of times 2get 90+% change... Complete flush harder & more risks of damage 2pump, etc. To do so, need disconnect tube 4backflow into reservoir...plug up tube of reservoir which it connects to... Then run engine & move steering fr left 2right & rt 2lf a few times... Old fluid wld flow out...collect it so not shoot fluid all over engine area... While doing so, need 2carefully watch fluid level & top up... Ops finished when clean fluid flows out of disconnected tube. Finally, Top up reservoir 2correct level. Fyi me nvr did that (total flush sys) also 4whole life of my ole gen Saga...ok wan... This post has been edited by zeone: Sep 20 2013, 04:26 PM |

QUOTE(dares @ Sep 20 2013, 04:46 PM) My dad's Wira's spark plug is still the original that came with the car. Hi Bro... Almost 100k km and 13 years now Ole skool car mainenance rec change of spark plugs ONLY if & when on inspection there's any symptoms of plug probs... Otherwise juz clean & re-use nia... Many Wkshops used 2hv those "sandblasting" machines 4cleaning plugs... Otherwise a wire brush was useful... Nowadays, irrespective of condition, it's Replace @ fixed intervals/usage... Mayb show him proof of the dangers?Advice fr Branded Tyre Companies...? Old type tyres were Crossply ones...stronger sidewalls... So last much much longer... Modern tyres are radials...much softer & weaker... Many hv juz ONE radial ply only!! That's why when yr tyres hit a pothole, it can easily get "pregnant"... So more vulnerable...
