Why not. Is it patented? If there's demand (rich middle eastern), Samsung will make it.

QUOTE(Xirality @ Sep 26 2013, 03:06 PM) 64bit is natural progression. Intel had talked about it long before apple released one. Apps have to to be re-written to take advantage of it anyway so it may be a year before we can see substantial advantage of 64bit, both iOS or android.QUOTE(waveweaver @ Sep 27 2013, 02:25 PM) What's wrong with SELinux? It is one of few NSA contribution that is doing good to the public. |

Seems like Samsung has been making gold phones a lot longer than Apple made its first phone.

I've just successfully compile the latest cyanogenmod nightlies on i9500. Any cherry pick request? So far it is stock CM with intervigilium github tree.

QUOTE(ahodil @ Sep 29 2013, 10:29 PM) Ahh, i see, anyways hows the battery life ? I dont mind if it can at least last for about 4 hours SOT in a day I didn't check on SOT. But standby time is better than stock rom (the first one - I didn't flash any firmware since I bought it when it first came out in Malaysia). |

QUOTE(namh @ Oct 3 2013, 09:38 PM) try this -> Helium - App Sync and Backup I recommend helium too. It's the same person who made clockworkmod recovery.i read in Note 2 & Note 3 thread, many recommend this apps.. it can perform backup and restore without root.. but, i never tested it because i have titanium backup.. It works well through my limited testing. twicca, greader, whatsapp were all restored. Has simpler interface than titanium backup. |

QUOTE(waveweaver @ Oct 20 2013, 04:28 PM) Doesn't matter. Just add RM800 only for a Nexus5...lolz This ^No more freedom in flashing your phone without problems or warranty void. Why stuck with a phone that doesn't give me a freedom of choice anymore..? Freedom and control. These two reasons are why I will sell my sgs4 to get nexus5. |

QUOTE(myworld122 @ Oct 22 2013, 09:14 AM) Yeah, i was quite worried at first cause Chainfire said u will loose warranty if u root S4 3G since triangle away doesn't work with i9500. but apparently samsung malaysia is nice enuf (or donno how to check) to just change my mobo. In India, I once sent sgs1 for repair since it was waterlogged. I already flashed custom roms and kernel many times over. But since the phone cannot be switched on, I can't flash it back to stock rom. However, the technician didn't mind. He replaced the motherboard for a very small fee (warranty still valid but it was a user error Haven't had any experience with malaysia's samsung support yet. |

QUOTE(jc120208 @ Oct 22 2013, 06:13 PM) There are two variant of chips in S4. The snapdragon and exynos 'octa' core. The latter has no LTE (which is faster than 3G).Personally I have no trouble with the octa core chip apart from slower development of custom roms. If Rm15xx is your budget, I'd suggest waiting for nexus5 for pure android experience. |

QUOTE(jesseblue @ Oct 22 2013, 06:28 PM) In the past, true. Though I have seen some pretty good snaps from nexus4 for fb size resolution though. As for nexus5, we have no idea how the camera will perform until it is released for analysis. |

QUOTE(deShinyDevil @ Oct 22 2013, 07:22 PM) i heard my fren said that with nfc enabled phone, i can save my touch 'n go card into the phone and use the phone to touch the reader next time without using the card anymore. is this true? what app can do this? I'm sure NFC security is not that weak. Contactless payment is pervasive in Europe, not in Malaysia yet. |

QUOTE(ahodil @ Oct 25 2013, 05:02 PM) btw, i just have to follow the 3rd scenario step right ? in order to flash stock 4.3 coming arrow rom 7.2 right ? cuz i heard, many people get bootloops from just straight flashing stock 4.3 coming from custom roms android 4.2.2. Why worry about bootloop. You can always flash back to 4.2.2 and then 4.3.heres the guide that im talking bout http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2494509 I've had bootloop many times. It is not a brick. Just remember that you have performed backup beforehand. |
