Don't use the Echoe Slim V5 Plus...as it exclude all Samsung apps and most Google apps..leaving for the essential apps only..lolz.
Use the non-Sim one instead... laugh.gif

Got it.  biggrin.gif BTW did you flash the baseband? I am on BMG5 baseband.
*
Yes..I use the EMJ5 modem as my older BMG5 seems have problem registering and lock to network connection. See first if you have the same problem...if no problem then no need to flash the baseband/modem.

hi guyz, just noticed that my s4 has its SELinux enforcing and sure enough at download mode
Knox kernel lock: 0x0
Knox warranty void: 0x0
CSB-CONFIG-LSB: 0x30

meaning that im officially screwed for any custom rom or kernel rite now rite? does this knox thing started on official 4.2.2? cause last time check 4.1.2 doesnt have knox?
*
Your phone are using Knox bootloader. It started since 4.2.2 DMH6. So far there's still no safe way to flashing any custom kernel/rom without triggering the Knox warranty void to 0x1.

Knox already included since 4.2.2 on DMH6 firmware when the phone received its OTA that changed the SELinux status from permissive to enforcing.

any ideas on how to backup completely before doing fatory reset? I did backup using kies3 but not really confident with it. Can i know is there any other ways to backup the apps i have installed already?
*
Ypu can try use Helium to backup your apps and data.

if only for apps backup...you can try Androzip Manager to backup all your apps apk. This will save you from wasting data network and time redownloading all your apps

The phone have BOTH....

Four 1.2 - A7 processor

That's why it called Exynos Octa

Knox won't slowdown or freeze your phone or apps.
it only make your phone more secure from any tinkering.

Try Kies...tho I found Kies very unreliable. .lolz.

Am afraid there no sure way to backup the apps data from unrooted phone. For backup apps only...you can use Androzip.

I wonder.....
*
Yes...for RM1799 you can get 32GB S4 LTE black colour SME set. And your brother also correct saying another RM200 you can get a better Note3....if you don't mind a bigger size phone.

Helium can restore back app data to unrooted phone    but the data must be back up on another rooted phone. I always use this method restoring it on any new unrooted phone
*
I see...but i believe the guy who ask the question only have his unrooted S4 phone. Unless he have another rooted phone then Helium can only be use to backup apps only without its data.?

which means the helium im using now to get backup data is not useful later once i done factory reset?
*
Based on what Uncle Benny said...you need a rooted phone to do apps data backup...then you can transfer that backup to unrooted phone via Helium for restoration.

In other words..your Helium now will be good for backup and restore apps only...without its data.

once you do factory reset via setting..your phone will reboot and restart again after quite some time (3-5mins) later.

when my battery (samsung ori) nearly dead, the phone become slow + the google play always give me notification . so i changed the battery and reset all apps, then the phone back to ori condition, fast and powerful.
*
Your phone should get the same battery output whether on full battery or nearly empty battery till it totally died...unless you use those battery saving mode where it will shutdown certain features when the battery is getting low hmm.gif 😎

it won't make an immediate big different. Use the phone regularly for 3 days to let the phone settledown with the new 4.3 firmware first.

Then you can start monitoring its new performance biggrin.gif

A few apps might be a bit wonky tho....need to wait for its Dev to update their apps for 4.3 compatibility.

Hi all,

Just got my LTE version i9505 set. Just download the latest 4.3 firmware via Kies and install?
*
You can use OTA for the updates.
Setting > more > about device > system updates > software updates.

The OTA firmware size is smaller than what you receive from Kies.
