QUOTE(rayzy22 @ Oct 30 2013, 09:49 AM) it's a shortcut ..off course you can always turn it on and off via setting tab but for me i found it more convenience to do it in one step..press an hold back button. tats js hidding the small arrow on the left from the screen. it doesnt turn it off.after turn off via setting, cannot turn back on by long hold on back button dy. |

QUOTE(rayzy22 @ Oct 30 2013, 09:56 AM) now too lazy to screen capture it and post it here ...hahaha other than the previous problems that i updated previously....Basically nothing extra special process happened what so ever, most consumption on screen by 60+% followed by google service. It also self restart like hell, maybe it because i made some tweaks here n there through audism and tweakpro QUOTE(ahnien @ Oct 28 2013, 09:38 AM) here's my update on the issues i'm having after 4.3 update. i din experience any self restart wo.... apps random crashes - most crashes are SOLVED with manual updates / redownloading the apps, others persistent crashes could be solved with factory reset and redownloading the app gallery lag and freeze - SOLVED by backing up the sd card, and doing a reformat on the sd card. significant battery draining when using - wifi connections showing unstable - conclusion: will go for a factory reset to see if it solves the other unsolved problems. but doesnt seems related with factory reset or not This post has been edited by ahnien: Oct 30 2013, 10:27 AM |

from my observations....
the lags and crashes are caused by compatibility of the old version apps with 4.3 though, play store still prompts you to update the apps. after the apps updates. it still crashes / hang. so i do agree on the factory reset suggested by other fellow pros & bros. after the reset.do a manual download of new version of the apps that you have. rather than jus updating the app. but do take note, that some apps with temp files / saved files (like games) might be gone. so choose the particular apps which seems to be a bit sluggish after the update, but doesnt yield important info. and do a full back up on the others. as... i still felt that 4.3 fluidity on the GUI and other areas out performed 4.2.2 so to judge that samsung screw up 4.3 might not be the best conclusion. android is an open source when apps and the OS itself is developed at such variety wher crashes is a norm. so i believe if v can follow the correct steps give our phone the new updates. v would b able to minimize the problems, and maximize the potential of 4.3 This post has been edited by ahnien: Oct 31 2013, 09:36 AM |
