Cuz earlier, someone made a false alarm that flashing cm10.2 from custom 4.2.2 could lead to a bootloop, thats why, im just taking a precaution, but my SELinus is still permissive hmm.gif

Yeah, custom rom can have better battery life than stock rom. The reasons are simple, less bloat, thus less services runnng in the background chewing precious cpu cycles, ability to undervolt which reduces power consumption, etc. It is possible to become more stable too. My sgs i9000 running cm gingerbread was a lot faster and stable than samsung's stock gingerbread rom.
