Weehoo !! Just received my Slickwraps orange carbon fiber for my SGS4
So without a further ado, lets get started with the little review ![]() first of all, quality, its fking nice except you really have to be precise and accurate when you're applying it. once you're getting out of patience, say goodbye to your sticker lol nah, just kidding, Slickwraps is genius, if you fked your sticker, you can always apply small amount of heat on the sticker to make it turn back to its original state, applause for them from this angle, you could really see my mistake ![]() luckily i could apply the front sticker correctly ![]() another side angle view ![]() here are the items that will be given when you ordered one :- 1) full body wrap 2) Clear HD screen protector 3) microfiber cleaning cloth 4) a pair of cards/instruction to remove bubbles 5) a code for your next purchase ( discounts will be given if you submit the codes ![]() in conclusion, its really worth the money since i bought it during school holiday sale which cost me rm50 only. it will protect my phone nicely since i usually put my phone in my bag, and since im a student, i rarely go out whistling.gif with its thin and light profile, it will not make your phone looks bulkier but makes your phone looks just nice and beautiful A WARNING THOUGH, I WILL NOT RECOMMEND TO YOU GUYS WHO ARE A LITTLE BIT CLUMSY WITH THEIR PHONES LIKE ACCIDENTALLY SLIPPED THEIR PHONE AWAY FROM THEIR HANDS, BECAUSE ITS A WRAP, NOT A CASE. IT WILL NOT PROTECT YOUR PHONE AS GOOD AS A CASE. SO, I RECOMMEND YOU GUYS TO GET A CLEAR CASE OR A POUCH TO PROTECT YOUR PHONE. AGAIN, ITS A WRAP/STICKER, NOT A CASE. P/S :- TLDR ?, build quality is nice, Slickwraps said it can last for years if you handle it with care, good for people who like to go out with his or her phone naked * i dont apply side wraps cuz i really like the plastic painted bumper ** time taken to apply may vary, it depends on your patience and skills This post has been edited by ahodil: Oct 5 2013, 10:06 AM |

QUOTE(skip2malou @ Oct 5 2013, 10:24 AM) Yes , market price for now i might be getting a new color Lagging ... lol ... if you are saying upgrading from S3 to S4 ? there is a huge performance gap between those 2. Occasional hiccups yes. But cant feel that much lag as compared to S3. Actually can consider lag free (depending on how you compare it) . However if you compare it with Nexus 4 ... of course cannot lah (but almost there) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Looks nice ... hmmm ... then should i change to your brand instead hmmm lol ... dont know which brand to buy now ... maybe i try with Dbrand de let you know LOL ... Those skins makes plasticy looks none-plasticky anymore |

QUOTE(n8210 @ Oct 5 2013, 12:46 PM) Looking for a app recommendation: How bout Evernote ? I need an app to share work with colleagues while I am not around. Much like google doc but instead it is in the form of a widget, so that it gets updated when someone writes something on it. We are divided into several teams to survey on several things, and we need to update each other as well as our bosses, and the updates allows us to negotiate and decide better, so google doc does not serve the purpose because it is not instant, we need to check check check.. we need something more instant like sms, but sms hard to edit and cannot be in a long list due to limited characters. |

QUOTE(n8210 @ Oct 7 2013, 05:52 PM) How come S4 roms (Omega and Arrow) both ask users to flash to specific modem first then only flash the rom? I remember there was no such need on S3 and Note 2. After flashing to their modem, do we need to flash back to our local modem? because, flashing modems other than XXUBMG9 and UBUBMH1 will lead to loss of IMEI which really make some users go nuts as you will also lose mobile connection (cannot make calls, no wifi and etcetera) |

QUOTE(n8210 @ Oct 7 2013, 05:56 PM) Previously, i think it was andrew who recommended me ARHD. It was a very good stable rom. Much better than Omega. Unfortunately, not available on S4 i9500. Anyone can recommend something as good as ARHD? ARHD is an AOSP roms. so far, theres only CM, AOSP, PAC, Slim, HaloGen roms. they are all basically have the same base as ARHD. but do note that, ALL CM-BASED ROMS ARE NOT YET STABLE. current CM bugs :- 1) bad mic/sound quality 2) cannot take videos 3) random reboots theres always TouchWiz based roms for you to flash, for example, the one you mentioned earlier, Arrow and Omega. if you really like AOSP roms that much, try Arrow rom as the developer has already installed Domination theme which really looks a lot like pure AOSP rom. if you really wanna know more about AOSP roms, follow this thread bro http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2294176 |

QUOTE(n8210 @ Oct 7 2013, 09:18 PM) I have some buggy experience with Omega 14. So i kept a nadroid copy of that, and now switch to arrow. Not really into aosp or any in particular. Just want to have something that would allow me to do some customization like changing the battery icon, toogles, ... the rest can use Nova or Apex to customized. And once I get a good stable rom, I hardly change or play around with anything else. Arrow is a really good choice cuz i myself am using Arrow rom v7.2 bundled up with ComaDose tweak pack and Perseus kernel I often stick to TW based cos I like the swipe left swipe right to sms or call feature. |

QUOTE(n8210 @ Oct 7 2013, 09:42 PM) Thanks.. will research into that... now still trying to figure out Xpose, Viper4Android FX and XHiFi... I'm confused with the driver to download for Viper4Android. GT-I9500 is using cortex A15 and A7, right? The options for download is A15 and A9 with NEON, or A8 with NEON... so which should I download? A15 Neon. |

QUOTE(n8210 @ Oct 7 2013, 09:51 PM) Wanam = /! This Rom is NOT Deodexed /! Wanam is an odexed rom.Any disadvantage? I think cannot use 3 minit settings without deodexed? I tried wanam on S2, S3... ok, user friendly. Oh... but I don't need to get 3 minit cos he has wanam xposed framework, which is about the same as 3 minit? There are 2 types of rom, odexed and deodexed. Odexed normally is muchmore faster while deodexed has more freedom to modify. |

QUOTE(UserU @ Oct 7 2013, 11:13 PM) You can actually, with some hack knowledge, you can make your S4 goes all cores online, but, eventually, you will end up frying your S4 Even the Note 3 Octa version cannot use 8 cores eventhough its using Exynos 5420, the revised version of S4's Exynos 5410. Samsung simply stated, not only it might end up frying your devices which is the worst case scenario, just imagine just how much battery life will it suck up This post has been edited by ahodil: Oct 8 2013, 05:29 PM |

QUOTE(n8210 @ Oct 8 2013, 07:10 PM) To change the placement of wifi, mobile data, bluetooth, gps... those toggles. But anyway.. I couldn't find it, so in the end I use 3 minit settings. pull the notification bar down, assuming you're using Arrow rom that comes with Domination theme, do you see an icon with human-like figure with boxes there ? its on top right corner. click on that icon. when you click em, you will see a lot of toggles. and the huma-like figures with boxes' icon is now changed to icon with 3 bars. on the left of the icon, theres a icon that looks like a pencil. click the pencil icon. now you can freely arrange your toggles |
