Keyboard appearing automatically, so you're talking about the modern UI apps instead of the traditional desktop apps right? you can't stop it from appearing automatically when you focus on a textbox, but just a thing to remember is that you can hide it by pressing the keyboard icon in the lower right hand corner, next to the right arrow key, then in the menu that appears, the lower right most icon of a square with a down arrow below it, that's to hide the keyboard.

Seems to be an issue with the 3740 series, cause even the Toshiba Encore reviews says that in connected standby mode it's dropping too rapidly.

For reference, my Dell venue Pro 8 lost 5% in almost 16 hours worth of standby.

Well, then it could be the hard disk like others have suggested.

If it fails to turn on, first hold the power button for 10 seconds this is the hard off switch, let go, wait a few seconds, then try turning on as normal

But according to Intel specs the 3740 does support 64bit.

Don't worry if you don't charge it for more than 8 hours, Li Ion don't work like that any more.

As for the 3A adapter, don't worry about it, more Amps just means there's more current to charge faster.

You have to use an MS account to login if you want to get anything from the Windows Store / Modern UI side of things.

You won't be able to update the applications like that if I'm not mistaken.

I'm pretty sure the Modern UI Video Player is not extendable, because previously Windows Media Player worked by allowing all the pluggable codecs, which is why you have all the K-Lite packs etc. etc., and sometimes those things just broke the heck out of WMP, causing everyone to hate and scorn WMP.

That's why in Win7 they locked WMP's MP4 codecs to their internal ones, and now they're probably doing the same thing for the modern UI video player.

Personally I recommend Media Player Classic Home Cinema Edition!, just go download the 64 pixel height buttons if you think the current buttons are too small to touch.

Should be the usual 1280 x 800 all the other 8" devices are using, generally ok for web browsing.
