keyboard for 8" is no worries. because i already have a good laptop to carry around. Just need a tablet for website usage or when my laptop isn't around  hmm.gif
But I herd the screen isn't so high res    unsure.gif

in that case i think no need t100. U can get android 8" tablet then. For note taking then should be note 8 la. Thats what it designed to do

yeah...the latest wifi driver 187 is really problematic, fortunately easy to remove and revert to older driver. BTW...need to be careful with some of d latest windows updates (cant remember d numbers), they can cause excessive battery loss during sleep when docked, from normal 1.5-2% per hour to abnormal 5-9% per hour.

EDITED: From d transformerforums.com, the culprit win updates are KB2911106 and KB2917929. Fortunately, i followed the d fix here (quote from a user):
*

actually i hv replied to that thread. i dont hv both KBs but still hv battery loss when docked

today I did presentation using T100 connected to a VGA projector. all was well for first hour but after that the display became unstable. the projector sometimes loss signal & the tablet seems to keep changing its resolution between the built n display & output during powerpoint & pdf presentation. very annoying indeed. hope to find a cure or setting for this issue. I ve tried use duplicate and second screen only. both with similar results.

el cheapo hdmi to vga converter maybe? or not enough juice? u can try doing your presentation while charging, or use hdmi converter that uses its own power.
*
could be. it costs me RM60+ so I thought its a good converter. it has a separate audio line. yeah I was using it while charging. I also tried without charging & also without keyboard dock. all the same results.

I also ordered a usb to VGA converter. will try to use it & see the outcome.

Guys, I planning to have this in 1 or 2 months.

Is this device working good? How about apps? Does it play apps like asphalt 8? I din't play x86 game but I do play apps' game ( Xbox ).

And suddenly came across Dell Venue 11 which is far more better than this...
*
good so far.. with few issues like i posted before. asphalt 8 can play no problem. i also looking at dell venue 11 but since until now it doesn't appear officially in msia so i opt for t100

Hi T100 owners,

Besides HDD inside the keyboard, is there any way to connect an external HDD to the tablet itself? For example we can connect pendrive and 2.5" HDD to andriod tabs by OTG cable.

How about using the following adapter instead of the OTG cable?

http://www.dx.com/p/reliable-otg-adapter-f...65#.UzcvbaJYByM

Many thanks.
*

interesting device. That thing connects to the keybrd connector right? Never seen one before.

Guys anyway to reduce battery consumption while its on SLEEP mode? I realized it drains alot of power while sleep unlike my ipad.
*
is it when connected to keyboard or not? it is a known problem that battery drains when docked. anyway after the latest bios update, it has improved. previously my unit batery fully drained overnight. last night after update the overnight drain is about 10%. without docking it is not an issue for me (negligable battery drain)

Nothing much, practically nothing improves. Battery still drains alot while on "Sleep" mode.

Google the problem most said culprit is the wifi connection, it actually connected all the time instead of sleeping.
*

how much drain r u talking about?
here is my latest status : charged 100% at 12pm yesterday while docked with wifi on. didn't use it. today morning 8.30am i still have 69%. so roughly about 1.5% drain per hr. compared to before (total battery drain in about 12 hrs) it has improved, although admitted it could be better.

Thing is if undock keyboard it doesnt even comsume 1% per hour on sleep.

Weird.
*
yes. that is the case. the battery drain issue only a concern when docked. that's why some ppl think that it's related to the activity of the HDD on the keyboard
