jus bought t100...wnna ask how to install apps to external microsd and hdd?seem like the apps download from store wil directly install in internal sdd...pls help,tq
I see. Its just that I'm a bit confused because some claimed that the 32gb is SSD, while others eMMC.
Not that it matter much now, got myself one unit yesterday.
in actual term lets put it that way...
SSD consist of multiple EMMC chip and SSD access this EMMC chip in parallel (Multiple channel) thats why we do not defrag SSD so data dont put into a single EMMC chip which eventually slow down the SSD... also quite damaging...
in ASUS T100... it only have 1 EMMC chip (32GB) so it is accessed in a single channel (much like a USB tumbdrive) but this chip is a faster chip vs thumbdrive and it is soldered direct into T100 main board...
so in term of Speed SSD faster than EMMC and EMMC faster than Hard-disk...
May I know which habit is recommended to prolong battery life on T100:
a. Discharge battery power as much as possible before recharge to reduce cycle count b. Recharge as needed and do not to let battery drops till critical low level c. Plug into AC power when using at home even though battery is fully charged
Hi new user here too, am wondering if there is any thin and good cover as well as screen protector that is recommended. Dont usually use the keyboard portion, only use the tablet for reading
I've chcecked lowyat plaza and all they have was those covers with a cardboard feel, big and bulky and charge over 50 bucks for it.
I have an Asus VivoTab Smart ME400CL with Windows 8 Single Language preloaded. Previously I did purchase Windows 8 Pro product key thru Microsoft Online Store. I downloaded it,enter the correct Windows 8 Pro product key as per invoice and make a bootable USB Drive.Right now I wish to clean install Windows 8 Pro on the tablet. I boot into UEFI and change first boot to USB Drive. I manage to load till Windows Installation language then click Next, then click Install now. The page will appear Setup is starting. After several second, a windows popup message "The product key entered does not match any of the Windows image available for installation. Enter a different product key." When I click OK it will go back to Install now page. Seems that I cant continue with the setup. I suspect the Windows 8 Pro USB Drive product key is not match with the Asus OEM Windows product key. So what can I do now to proceed with the Windows 8 Pro installation?
What is the lowest price apparently? Looks like the Acer Aspire Switch 10, Lenovo Miix 2 and Venue Pro are the alternative. The problem is when they will be available in Malaysia. Anyone know?
Surface 2? But still depends on what you actually wanna do with your tablet.
I have the same question as well actually. I wanted a tablet to feed photos from my camera via wifi when I go on trips. So I need the screen to be around 10"
I also wanna do more with the tablet, mostly pc related gaming (diablo 3 and what not). So keyboard and mouse accessibility is a strong need. It mustn't be heavy as I'll be bringing it as I walk around when I travel. So I'm opting for a tablet hybrid. Budget around 1500. You think this is the best deal for me?
