Better built quality than acer.
Twice the battery life of acer.
And removable battery.

This have all I want but the processor is abit weak.
No haswell or ivy bridge version cry.gif

I think AMD A6 is better than that celeron.

Looking for a 11.6" laptop too.

I see, but that celeron is haswell iinm. hmm.gif Hmm, any other laptop? I just need a good light weight laptop, don't really care about performance actually, as long as it has great battery life and good build quality. I will just be doing my university works on it, nothing much.

Hello. Thanks for your responsive reply again rclxms.gif
I've looked up those laptops and had narrowed down to a few models.
1. Are the Inspiron 14R & 15R laptops with touch screen? Will touch-screen laptops get more problems than normal laptop?
2. The HP Pavilion 14-N059TX is a chromebook right? Any chromebook user here can give some feedback? From what I read, chromebook is like a netbook, so the performance is not so good sweat.gif

The other models which are still in my narrowed-down list are Asus S551LB-CJ120H, Dell Vostro 5470, Lenovo Z510, Y400 (possibly hard to find), Z400 Touch (possibly not getting this if the touch screen will present more problems), and Toshiba Satelite L50 smile.gif

In my opinion, dont buy laptop with touch screen bro, its just pure gimmick, u will only use it once or twice per day. really useless unless u have a hybrid laptop.

HP n059tx is not a netbook, the performance of that laptop is very decent. Can consider just below high end since its using latest haswell, and also a decent graphics card.

Dell 14R and 15R does come with touch screen but the price would be RM500 higher if im not mistaken. smile.gif

Exactly my thought smile.gif
So I can choose not to have touch screen for Dell 14R & 15R right? I've been reading a few reviews and all of them talking about the touch screen feature of these two models. So I was a little bit confused rclxub.gif

Edit:
I just checked DELL website, and Vostro & Inspiron appeared in my budget list. What are the difference between DELL Vostro series & DELL Inspiron series? Which one is better for multimedia purpose (Photoshop, video editing etc.)

*If this is the wrong thread to discuss about these differences, I will take this to other appropriate thread. Thanks in advance notworthy.gif

vostro is more towards business line, (being light and thin with no optical drive) while inspiron for average user. yup there are model with touch screen, but 14R without touch screen is sufficient enough for your usage. nod.gif
