1. Preferred Brand - Any which can be found in Penang
2. Budget - RM2,500
3. Usage - Will mostly be used for going online and moderate gaming (I don't play games hardcore but could probably use one with a better graphic card for games like GTA)
4. Preferred laptop/screen size - None but of course it's a plus if it's larger.

Thanks a lot!

Brands are very well represented in Penang lah smile.gif
You can also check out re-sellers who has shop (can COD) in Penang right here at LYN garage sales thread, eg. hikari85.

Laptop is expensive, especially those "gaming" stuff. Taper your expectation smile.gif For your budget, if you want spec powerful enough to play GTA series reasonably, stick with 14" with HD screen only.

Thanks so much for your advice! I'd most probably check out the Dell one first and see if it suits me. Thanks again!

Hi there, a few days ago I asked for some advice with the requirements below:

And I was advised the following models :

Dell
Inspiron 14R, i7-4500U + Nvidia GT750M (GDDR5) @RM2499[2.32kg], 8GB, 1TB(5400rpm), Ubuntu 12.04 , 6 cell; W8SL@RM2699

Lenovo
Y400, i7-3630QM + Nvidia GT750M@RM2499, 4GB, 500GB, FreeDOS, 120wPSU, swappable ODD, 2 years warranty
Y400, i7-3630QM + Nvidia GT750M@RM2799, 4GB, 500GB, W8, 120wPSU, swappable ODD, 2 years warranty

Today, I went to a computer shop and asked about the Dell model, instead, he told me that the Toshiba Satellite L-Series may suit me better as it's cheaper and has 3 years warranty, etc, or if I fancy touchscreen, the S-Series. I went to another shop and he said the same thing. May I know what you guys think? Thanks so much

Thank you so much, nexus2238 and devour! I think you guys convinced me enough to get 14R with GT750M.

One last question though, is the Dell customer service in Malaysia okay? Thanks again!
