Hi guys. Anyone knows what's the current price of Note 2? Can't seem to trust the prices online these days..

U can check with DirectD or SatuGadget to get the best price. Most of us will not know the current price.

Is it still recommended to get Note 2 when Note 3 is already available? I look at the specs of Note 2. Does not seem way behind other current android phones

You are absolutely right. Get what suits your budget.

Note2 is the.best of the last generation, which is still sufficient for almost all stuff.

Note 2 still really awesome device. No Knox Flag means u can root & mod till your heart's content.
Spec wise the Note 3 is slightly better. Value for money just get the Note2.

Thanks for the reply. I am seriously thinking of getting Note 2, but the price still not down much even with the introduction of Note 3. I am just worried with Samsung brand since there are lots of clones out there.

Price is about RM900 cheaper for the SME set. I would say that is a huge difference. Launching price for the Note 2 was RM2299 last time. If you're worried about clones just get an SME set and look out for SME and blue stickers on the box.

Ori samsung warranty can verified by using sms just in minute.
I wonder clone samsing can it get into apps such as ChatOn,S suggest or
Samsung Apps。？

Only n7105 uses LTE. I think in msia mostly AP sets have LTE. Few pages back I saw someone posted there are shops selling
sme sets with LTE function.

Anyways, got mine (SME Non-LTE) for 1450 from one of the shops up top at the Mines just last week. If you don't need LTE, the 13MP cam and the IR blaster, the N2 is STILL a very relevant choice - especially if you're penny pinching like me.

Plus it seems the new batch all get revised, non insane eMMC firmwares, which is super.

Also, if you like modding, the mod scene is relatively more matured due to the age of the device.

WTF is this nag about lag. Sorry for the rant, but lag usually happens when people install sh*t apps on their phone. People are brainwashed by some fruit logo-ed company that everything without that logo is sub-standard. That company can go somewhere where the sun doesn't shine. Their product lags as well.

Come on, the Note 2 is the top end quad core phone of the last generation, and it still holds its own in any normal use case for browsing, gaming, IM, camera etc.

If you have budget constraints, for around 1.5k, this is the best new phone you can get. Most other higher end phones with current specs are 1.8k and above.

If you don't want a stylus but FHD screen, then the LG Optimus G Pro is a good choice but probably 1.8k+

If you want a 2nd hand Note 2, you can get some off forumers here for around 1k-1.2k maybe.

If you want to mod your phone, the Note 2 is the phone to get as there are a huge number of ROMs available and still active development.

Price is what you pay. Value is what you get.

Thanks for your reply bro The reason I'm interested with Note 2 is mainly coz of the stylus + big screen coz I love to draw and take notes. 1500 u mean ori right? Coz I plan to get from the samsung shop. Sorry kinda noob here

Yes, genuine SME from DirectD or SatuGadget around that price.

If you go to a Samsung outlet, I think it's 1799 or 1899.
