QUOTE(broken_heart @ Oct 10 2013, 07:02 AM) Hi I checked the first post n it stated the sandisk 64g is reported problem. May I know which 32g or 16 g cards Are recommended. Thanks QUOTE(gin&tonic @ Oct 10 2013, 07:14 AM) I think Sandisk have fix the problem for sometime now. Don't worry go & get it. Further more Sandisk has life time warranty. Just bought sandisk 32Gb class 10 from a friend yesterday. Been in nightmare before with 32Gb Apacer and 64Gb Kingston (both class 10), as both screwed up, corrupted She said got 1 year warranty.

Mine is the same. It all depends on luck. If you don't do flashing you're probably a little safer but it has hit plain vanilla phones as well. Just enjoy the device. Great device still and tops in battery life.

QUOTE(joytest @ Oct 9 2013, 07:48 PM) It will be problematic if u try to change modem due to a changed efs partition. I suspect when 4.3 arrives there will be more changes. If u don't root and keep to ota it should be fine. Thanks. Look forward to 4.3 now that they're to skipping 4.2 totally. Hopefully they don't take too long

QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 10 2013, 01:45 AM) I think this is not yet confirmed and I can tell you for Note II to get 4.4 update, that is going take gazillion years. So, you can use your phone peacefully now. Who knows by the time you have changed your phone, 4.4 hasn't reached Note II yet. I have been waiting 4.2 update since early this year after Samsung rolled out 4.1.2 to Note II and stopped ever since. Now I'm on 4.3 on my Note 3, I don't have any special feeling towards it. Still Android and 4.1.2 is fast enough. At least you don't need to be bothered with Knox issue that is stopping many Note 3 users to root their phone. alright then. thanks for at least making me feel better..for now. LOL

Safe or not it is just the risk that you take to root your phone. So far i dont see anyone here have problem after rooting their phone. You will encounter problems when you want to flash an older modem if you are running DME6/DMF2. Do check first page on how to root your phone. So many methods. Just choose whichever suits you. Happy rooting. ps: Root at your own risk!! Nobody will be held responsible if you brick your phone except for yourself.

QUOTE(omara86 @ Oct 10 2013, 01:39 PM) guys, about the DME6 warning, if i juz wanna root it (not flashing other roms), will it be safe? can use the toolkit or got other method? Rooting is a very safe process. The chance of hard bricking is one in several trillion times. Only a dumb user will brick phone while rooting it. Just make sure your phone is well charged at least 50%, download correct root file n follow the instructions closely Rooting will not delete any data from phone too Flashing firmware could possibly softbricked or even hard brick . But than only a careless user will ever hit such a problem
