Okay, now Sony said GT5 Prologue is a full game, not a demo. WTH?

GT5 Prologue gets a pricetag and 'GT TV'



Sony Computer Entertainment BeNeLux today announced a estimated price for the Blu-ray Disc-version of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, which will be released in December. The BD-version will cost you 45 euro's, according to Sony.

Sony emphasized that Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is actually a full game, like Warhawk. With 40 cars, 5 tracks, 1080p graphics, 60 frames per second and a whole new online world for up to 16 people, this game is worth 45 euro's. Sony will also introduce a new feature, called GT TV. Here, you can download tv-shows about cars. These programs will be localised, so England for example will get Top Gear and The Netherlands will get for example Veronica's 'De grote Beurt'.

Estimated price is around 45 euro according to Sony. Yeah, thats around 60 bucks.

GT5 Prologue demo will be out on October 20th. So, play with that first'lah.

Gran Turismo TV is now LIVE



If you have downloaded the Gran Turismo 5 Prologue Demo, you will now see that the Gran Turismo TV feature is not only included, it's now active.

There's a "New" tag next to it, which means there is new content ready to view. The purpose of this option is to provide racing fans with real-life professional driver interviews, video footage, and other related information for the hardcore enthusiast. This first update for GT TV includes three standard-definition videos, and they are from Best Motoring, Autobacs Super GT, and D1 Grand Prix.

BBC and Top Gear team up with Gran Turismo 5 dev



Polyphony Digital, the creators of the Gran Turismo series and the are teaming up to offer Top Gear episodes for download via Gran Turismo TV on PS3. GT TV plans to offer users the latest news from the world of motoring and is due for launch in 2008. In this new deal there will be 40 episodes of Top Gear available for download.

"We at Polyphony are great fans of the world's best motoring programme, Top Gear, so we're delighted to be collaborating with BBC Worldwide to deliver Top Gear content via Gran Turismo," said Kazunori Yamauchi, President, Polyphony Digital, "We're sure that players will be as thrilled as we are when they get the chance to put their own driving skills to the test on the Top Gear Test Track in GT5, as well as enjoying classic episodes of Top Gear via GT TV."

GT25 Racing Wheel to Launch with Prologue



A sneak peak at the ultimate racing sim is on the way for Japanese PS3 owners in early December as Sony releases Gran Turismo 5 Prologue. While the game will be available both as a PlayStation Store download and through standard retail channels, those who want the true driving experience will have to go with the more traditional of the two purchase options, and also pick up Logicool's new steering peripheral in the process.

Coinciding with the 12/13 release of Prologue, Logicool (that's what they call Logitech over in Japan) announced today that it will release the G25 Racing Wheel steering controller for the PS3. The deluxe control set includes a steering column, a shift lever and a pedal unit.

If you thought the GT Force Pro delivered the ultimate realism, check out this profile. The wheel is 27.5cm, larger by 2.5 cm than the GT Force Pro. It delivers a true 900 degree turning radius and force feedback via two motors. The shift lever offers six speed manual. The pedal set unit includes pedals for acceleration, break and clutch.

Those who still like to use buttons for some controls aren't being overlooked. The wheel has the four action buttons with the shift lever unit having eight buttons and a d-pad.

As expected, all this realism will come at a price. Logicool is asking 37,800 yen for the set. If you have the cash, be sure and pick one up when it launches on 12/13 opposite GT5 Prologue.
