Surprise, surprise. brows.gif An hour ago, boot-up my disc and tried downloading the update. Guess what? It went through. Finally! laugh.gif

Yeah, I just checked Gran-Turismo.com. They release a small update yesterday. So, I think the one that I downloaded last night should include the update as well.

Sorry, can't help it. Ok, jokes aside.

I played 3-4 online races last nite, and i noticed that it's much easier to enter online races now. Is it due to the recently released 2.17 firmware? I seldom get the error messages now. Does anybody notice this, or is it just me?
*
Yeah, firmware 2.71 contains specific codes for GT Prologue online enhancements. I noticed it too, Played a few rounds online without any problem with matchmaking.

Private races, voice chat planned for GT5 Prologue

user posted image

SCEA producer, Takau Imasaki, has confirmed that Gran Turismo 5 Prologue's online mode will see updates in the future that'll add in-game voice chat and private race options to the package. Although the game will allow for 16 players to race against each other when it launches in Europe on PSN on March 27, the online gameplay set-up options are thin on the ground.

You can only join Sony-created servers with pre-set scenarios - you can't set any gameplay options for yourself. But Imasaki promises that more options will be available - just not in time for launch.

"Private races with buddies and in-game chat are all in the works... but will not be ready from day one," Imasaki told posters on the official PlayStation blog. "Will keep you posted on the progress!" he added.

And so the package that more cynical critics call "just a demo" gets even larger.

Gran Turismo Prologue Spec II Update on March 28th

user posted image

"Gran Turismo 5 Prologue" will be undergoing a free online update to "Gran Turismo Prologue Spec II" at around noon on Friday, March 28. The detailed content of the update will be announced on the day of the update, but there are some points of caution before performing the update. Please red before proceeding with the update.

(1) After updating, it will not be possible to replay the replay data created and saved before the update.

(2) Because the content of events will be renewed in the update, the event data before the update will be cleared, and those events will no longer be possible to play. (Acquired prize credits, cars in the garage, and clear information up to the A class will be carried over.)

(3) Even if an error occurs during the update, data downloaded up to the error is saved. Repeating the update will complete the download normally.

The update can be resumed as indicated below:

- Select News in My Page after starting the game
- Exit the game with the PS button, and restart the game.

ps: finally, download resume implemented. thumbup.gif
