new owner of lg g2 korean set reporting in smile.gif got it from cubixshoppe. bought the korean set because of the 2 removable battery and sd card slot, and also LTE-A when i go to korea (or 10 years later when it's available in malaysia kakaka) after deducting the price of the extras you get from the korean set i think it's same price as local set or note 3 or z1 or lumia 1020. didn't buy the note 3 because i want a smaller phone (was using note 1 before). didn't buy the z1 because it doesn't have the IR blaster and OIS though it has a bigger sensor. as for lumia, though image quality was the best i was concerned with the time needed in between shot. and also apps availability on Windows, plus i sometimes need to test Android apps. absolutely love the Quick Window case. and my phone has a TV antenna kakakaaka. The camera shutter is superfast!

auto-brightness works well on my G2. One of the reviews I read also mentioned that it's one of the better auto-brightness phone out there. under direct sunlight, IPS panel will definitely fare better than AMOLED panels used in the Samsung Galaxys and Notes. By far, every single review will call out the G2 IPS LCD as one of the highlight. Before this i was using Note 1 and the AMOLED colors sometimes are too real until it looks fake.

Shots of my G2 as requested by TS. Sorry for the poor quality photos as it doesn't do justice to the G2

some bezel is good so that when the hand grips the phone it doesn't touch the screen accidentally. i guess it's LG Malaysia fault for not bringing in the phone early. But you can always go for the Korean set which is not that much more expensive since you get additional removable battery (RM100 at least), MicroSD card slot, desktop charger, and some other accessories, and LTE-A (maybe can use in Malaysia 10 years later haha)

anyway, here's a panoramic shot taken using G2. wanted to post more but can't seem to add photos beyond a certail file size.

S4 uses Snapdragon 600, G2 - Snapdragon 800. G2 has optical image stabilization. Pretty straightforward answer smile.gif

korea version also comes with 2 batteries of 2650mAH each. important i think since my Note 1 battery died after slightly more than a year. SD card allows you additional 64GB storage. And if you happen to go Korea then you can use 150Mbps LTE-A and watch TV on the phone. Cracks my friends up when i pulled out the antenna from my phone smile.gif

battery life is good, usually i charge every 24 hours or so at least got 20% left before recharging. charges pretty fast too. as for the speaker volume, it might be soft but then it's a phone, not a hifi smile.gif

for those of you that has the Korean set you can download the LG PC Suite from here http://www.lgmobile.co.kr/lgmobile/front/d...dMain.dev#phone

It's basically LG's version of iTunes. From there you can get software upgrade. Latest firmware is 11C but I can't update since mine came with a custom ROM so will need to restore to Stock ROM first.

You can also download On Screen Phone and LG Mobile Sync for Android but both doesn't seem to work with the G2. Do download the LG United Mobile Driver since you will need it to upgrade the firmware. And you can download the manual from that link too

of course, the only quirk is if you use the native SMS app, any message longer than 160 characters will be converted to MMS. somehow it has something to do with the fact that 1 korean character is equivalent to 2 english character, or something like that. easiest way to solve the problem is to install other sms app i.e. Go SMS Pro.

Bought mine from cubixshoppe too. Apparently, this LG G2 (both Korean or international) sold out really fast.

Another seller is lumheenleong in lowyat forum. He has a FB page named "8nergy".

The other one I found is Fantasytech in Lelong. His price is lowest at RM2099.

how much you bought yours for from cubixshoppe? BTW those korean set have to wait ~1 week since it has to be shipped from Korea via China

The 2099 one you sure is Korean set and not the AP international set?

Ya, a sad truth. Rules of the world, popularity always wins. I went to The Gardens last week jalan2, and I saw people swarming at the Samsung outlet there. HTC booth beside it? Empty  yawn.gif

Oh by the way, I just bought myself a G2  rclxm9.gif  ..damn this baby sure selling out fast. Went I went to the shop, only white version available. I decided on the spot to just go for it, instead of waiting for another restock.

I'm so glad I did.  laugh.gif . A quick rundown after a couple of days of usage;

Screen: BEAUTIFUL
Speed: DAMN FAST
Camera: GREAT
Battery life: AMAZINGGGGG~

I'm a bit picky when it comes to battery life. But for this one, I think LG just nailed it. Put it off charger at 5am Monday morning, now around 2am Tuesday (I'm working), with 64% batt left. Data always ON, Sync ON, and I'm on 3G outside, and WIFI at home.

Anybody still having doubts about buying this phone? Dont be, becos the only bad thing about this fon is that, u will be RM 2K poorer after this..haha  sweat.gif

I'm using this casing, pretty good cause it has magnet in front which is needed to activate the quick window function. The only downside is the window is covered with transparent solid plastic so can't swipe.

The original one replaces the back cover so it's even slimmer but cost close to rm200

Like they always say, it's scratch resistant, not scratch proof.

But, flip case does decrease the chances of getting scratched.

Did yours come with free screen protector?

mine comes with 3 free screen protectors. the clear ones are finger print magnet while the matte one takes away the lustre of the gorgeous IPS screen
