QUOTE(vhaen @ Feb 9 2009, 06:30 PM) Ishikura-sensei already went back to Japan last year. His tenure has finished and he is now enjoying his retirement. Nice to know that Hock Doong taught you before. You should come to JC more often. And the owner of the BM Go blog is Idazuwaika, not me. We already have a syllabus out for beginners up to 10k level. You can download them from the MWA website after you have registered, the BM Go blog or from HDoong's blog at fallingstones.wordpress.com. Work is currently being done to develop Module B which will cover single digit kyu (SDK) to shodan. Hopefully when it is out, you will already be at SDK strength. Coincidentally, we do have a player studying in MMU and one will be enrolling in UM this year. If you study at either universities, you could always hook up at JC to know them and then meet at your uni to play when both of you are free. What sensei already back to japan i not even have the chance to thanks him so now who is replace sensei. my sifu have blog meh i also tak tau , do you have the address

Re: yamyinhao Your sifu's blog is not only about Go. He talks about his other interests in life and his work also. Xinwen's blog is nice, but he is currently busy with his studies, so rarely updating it. Nothing is more boring than a blog that is rarely update. Re: RyozKidz Yes, I am pretty sure I can take you there. But I don't think many people will be around this Saturday due to Valentine's. So you could come on the 21st if you wish to see more people. I will be at JC this Sat though, so it is up to you. We do sell basic Go sets but I am not sure as to the pricing. You will need to talk to Mr. Tiong who is the president of the MWA and check with him. But the whole set should be cheaper than RM 100. It is good to know that you bought a book. Just out of curiosity, where did you get it? Go books in English are rare here and we usually buy through the Internet. If you know Mandarin and bought a Mandarin Go book, then I have to congratulate you as there is a wealth of Go books in Mandarin. Your progress will no doubt be much faster due to the number of excellent Mandarin Go books out there. If you are sure you want to go, let me know here and I will PM you my handphone number. We can then meet up at Mid Valley on a Saturday of your choosing. Hope to see you soon!

Re: RyozKidz You are welcome. The Go community is small in Malaysia so we do tend to help each other out when we can. The cheapest Go set is RM 30 I think but if you want a better board, it will be an extra RM 20 or so. It is definitely cheaper than RM 100. The difference between English and Mandarin Go books is that there are only a limited number of English Go books and they are extremely expensive if you buy them online. Mandarin Go books can be found in Popular or Kinokuniya and the selection is huge. Or you can 'tumpang' our Go members to buy Mandarin Go books when they go to China for competitions. If you are dedicated to improving yourself, you will find that there is no shortage of good books in Mandarin. I look forward to seeing you in the future! Re: RyozKidz
Welcome to KGS. Please remember to join Malaysia Room there. When you get to KL, do give us a call.
Re: moniqee
Japan Club (JC) is situated besides Mid Valley. It is a 5 to 10 minutes walk from there. If you want to know the full address, it is No 2, Jalan 1/86, Off Jalan Taman Seputeh, Taman Seputeh, 58000 Kuala Lumpur. You can buy the Go set from Mr. Tiong today if you can go there. If I may ask, which college do you study at?
