Whats villager adoption for?

Trade Market? We need to add them first, then we can go to their town right?

hahaha. sorry still new. this game kinda like daily basis. need to wait the next day (real time) in order to finished anything (i.e house upgrade)

Basically your town can fill with 10 villagers (animal) most, and villager might left your town in some certain circumstances. If you wish to keep them, you may talk to them and ask them not to leave ur town. If you didn't want them, they will start to pack their stuff. This is the time where you can offer to your friend/other player to invite them to move in to their town. That's right, your ex-villager will move into their town which is awesome right. Let's say u like Coco very much but ur town didn't have her, but some other player is offering them for "adoption".

the rules to town travel between player = both of u must added each other first (Friend Code i mean).

And yes, you need to add them first (and they added you back) in order to go to their town. once in a while, the turnip buyer will come to ur town and offer to sell/buy turnips. Price range will be differ from time to time so need to keep an eyes on it. Buy low sell high, that's where some player will offer such method to ease other player to earn more $$, in return. You can giv them some tips (which mostly will).
Or if you have native perfect fruit (yes native perfect fruit, if you dunno go goggle it), when u went to other player town. you can sell alot the money.

one more thing, turnips can be purchase on Sunday. if you had bought any, make sure the turnips didn't pass thru the next Sunday as it'll spoiled and become rot.
So you have a week to sell it off when there's a price which can make some profit.

Welcome Amiibo update is already live. There are new stuffs to get even if you don't have any Amiibos (or a New 3DS).

In a couple of hours, I'll restart a new save file. Hope to make friends here and maybe start a trade soon.

Late to the party and I just started the game. Haha!
Seems OK so far, still living in a tent. I always play at night and by the time and all the shops have already closed by then. -___-||

Get night owl ordinance, so the shop open a lot longer at night..
Also night time is the best time to get cash anyway. Play longer and you'll know what I mean

There are many ways to get bells the best way is catching bugs, but it's only efficient when you unlock some new places later on.
Yeah you can change stuff as you play, once you advance per day slowly you will unlock more stuff.

Other ways to get bells is by playing the stock market with turnip, catching fish and selling fruits.

u can get some interest by depositing in the ATM machine...
it's calculated on a monthly basis and it's only 1% if im not mistaken...

so yeah...u gonna need a LARGE amount of deposit to get a substantial profit from it...

but u get some 'gift' for each tier of deposit amount...

either way - i find this guide as posted by some poster before this most useful (if you havent notice it yet)

i implemented the ordinance where everything is more expensive....

works kinda well for me - a bee caught cost 3k of bells...

on a sidenote - i lost my 3ds...which means i lost all my progress...
most sad i feel is i lost my new year hate (gonna need to wait till next new year to get it back)

so no mood to restart it now...

I have unlocked the island a few days ago and have some good amount of bells now.
I will definitely take a look at the cafe thing.
