Mostly what you can unlock, qr codes and etc since ur new.

You do whatever you want, it's not a game where you are forced to follow a set of quest.
You can go fishing, collect bugs and fossil, and sell them to earn money.

Then you upgrade your house, buy furniture, and clothings..
Also play mini games in another island.. as well as unlocking new shops, and features in the town.

This game is more of a game where you should play 3-5 hours or a day since you just started.
Game is base on real time. So every day you wake up in the morning, new events and stuff will happen in the town.
Also when it comes to unlocking and getting new items, it's per day basis. So you have to check the game everyday for new stuff.
If you enjoy the game, it will last more than 1 year usually. I lasted for around 2 years, clocking around 500 hours+.

it is a nice game really, just that nowadays aint many player online anymore. Or they just play on daily basis to keep the villager that they want.
rmb the good old days when Rei7 & Rene are still active on this game.

you need to pm them who did you add, otherwise they won't know u had added them in 3ds. It's a 2way communication which I find it quite a back-down, psv you still can see who had request to be friend with you.

Basically your town can fill with 10 villagers (animal) most, and villager might left your town in some certain circumstances. If you wish to keep them, you may talk to them and ask them not to leave ur town. If you didn't want them, they will start to pack their stuff. This is the time where you can offer to your friend/other player to invite them to move in to their town. That's right, your ex-villager will move into their town which is awesome right. Let's say u like Coco very much but ur town didn't have her, but some other player is offering them for "adoption".

the rules to town travel between player = both of u must added each other first (Friend Code i mean).

And yes, you need to add them first (and they added you back) in order to go to their town. once in a while, the turnip buyer will come to ur town and offer to sell/buy turnips. Price range will be differ from time to time so need to keep an eyes on it. Buy low sell high, that's where some player will offer such method to ease other player to earn more $$, in return. You can giv them some tips (which mostly will).
Or if you have native perfect fruit (yes native perfect fruit, if you dunno go goggle it), when u went to other player town. you can sell alot the money.
