cedar mill is 65nm core... smith is 90nm core wic is prescot + prescot = dual core (smithfield)
i believe cedar mill had better heat emission n low voltage consumption  smile.gif

Nanee?
Where do you know that Smithfield is Dual Core prescott? shocking.gif
If it's true, think about the heat produce by it...

Dual core prescott: DAMN FREAKING HOT!!! vmad.gif

its more on mechanical la. you need compressor, freon, radiators blah2 and most of the item takes place. even the piping requires through sealing or condensation of water will occur and zap the parts.

i was waiting for someone to do pelt air cooling. no one?

That's why i said "Mini Air Conditioner"... laugh.gif

I was studying various cooling, someone retrofit a bar fridge compressor onto the PC case, its about 5 inch in height. Crazy man. But the site goes on to tell that its really not practical cos the dampening you have to put in. Imagine your fridge sound/ air con outdoor unit sound. Or you could do something crazy like pipe it to an outdoor unit like split air con... hehe

Just stay away from Pentium D 830 *sob*. Those Procs with Thermal Rating 130W are the hottest ones...

Will anyone contribute to the making of this "Mini PC Air Conditioner"??? laugh.gif

I know about this cooling system already...
It's using the technology of a refrigerator...

I don't wanna use this one, what i want is an air conditioner, the one that could fits into 2 @ 3 5.25 drive bay...

I want it to blow those cool air to all the parts in the system...

While the cooling system that u just show me only cools the processor...

Last night I added 120mm fan to the front of my midtower at the 5.25" drive bays to exhaust cool air in (with A/C on). No temps change. So now running with only 1 case fan, rear (exhaust). My stupid case very hard to fit the fan at the front bottom due to its design...
*
What type of casing do u use?
Hmm...
I think the only casing that offers the best air intake is the Powerlogic Atrix Casing... thumbup.gif

Honey comb all over the case... tongue.gif

The brand is HEC, model is 6A (from the website) its very standard casing with 180W true power. Anyway this is just a transitional casing, I am shopping for a desktop casing that is black, tall enough to fit my Zalman HSF. Budget is < 300 so this weekend will drop by at LYP with a ruler  cool.gif

Why buy at Lowyatt Plaza?
Just buy it from Bulk Section in the Trade Zone...

Buy it from moderno... thumbup.gif
It should be much cheaper than buying at Lowyatt Plaza... thumbup.gif

Click on the "moderno" word to go directly to his profile... thumbup.gif

Think about this...
[Just an example]

Cooler Master Cavalier 3
Lowyat Plaza Price: RM280.00 sweat.gif

Moderno's Price: RM220.00 thumbup.gif

You'll save RM60.00 then... whistling.gif

Good choice isn't it? laugh.gif

I "achieved" 80C by disconnecting my case fan, and only the PSU fan and Zalman CNPS9500 running at 1400RPM with 2 copies of SP2004 running (small FFT).

Anyway I discover that this setup is perfect for use when A/C is on Iand I am surfing net and listening to MP3 (temps is 51C). When idle I can hear my clock ticking louder than my CPU...

Owhhh... That's good man... rclxms.gif

Anyway, i don't really like fanless design...
It worries me... sweat.gif

Unless u change the original Xdream III fan to other high speed, high cfm fan, then the heatsink will work much better...
I think... sweat.gif
