was just wondering what would be d best bang for buck hsf for my 2nd rig (am2 processor)? Heat going up like rocket, somemore my room quite hot 1, idle already bout 38', load 50 sth.

Best bang for buck as in best price:performance ratio.

Been crazy doing reviews, but just cannot decide

Gemini was my plan but dat monster is ginormous! Dont think can fit my aerocool masstige

But not 2 expensive 1 lar, dont want to spend 2 much on my 2dary rig, just wnat sth better than d stock 1.

TQ in advance for any help, really appreciate it!

The most important question that all sifu's will ask you.
What is your maximum budget for a heatsink.

You have to state your max budget, or else we'll start asking you to buy a super duper high end freaking heatsink that will cost you up to RM300 laugh.gif

So, state your budget. smile.gif

That's normal.
Wait for sometime, Thermaltake should restock back the BTVX, as that's the only heatsink from Thermaltake that work best. laugh.gif

hey guys,
the TTBTVX noisy?
*
That's why it comes with Voltage Regulator so that you can control the speed as you like.

You can control the speed and in other words, control the noise. smile.gif

That is stupid.
You can't even put huge graphic cards below it.

That is plain stupid.
More cons about this heatsink, but i rather put the main thing about that heatsink that is you can't put most of the high end graphic cards below it. shakehead.gif

What's going on with scythe? sweat.gif

Aha....IFX only got 4 heatpipes on top of the proc, and 2 at the back. But 120 extreme got 6 on top of the proc. Far more better IMO.
*
Wrong.
More heatpipes doesn't mean it'll be better than others.
Check the original website for the IFX-14.

The heatpipes for the IFX-14 is thicker & fatter than the normal heatpipe used in Ultra 120 eXtreme.

Google around before u say that.
And gives proof for what you said. smile.gif

That's why i said IMO. I didn't say what i said is the true fact. And why thicker and fatter heatpipes are better?
*
Larger space for the gas to move up and more gas can be filled in the heatpipe which results to better heat transfer. smile.gif

btw i doubt that extra heat pipe would do a lot of benefit, the fin area are about the same......high speed fan also wont do much help either.....
*

I don't think so.
Try comparing Ultra 120 & Ultra 120 Extreme.

Ultra 120 Extreme performs a lot better than normal Ultra 120.

Just wait for a review on the HR-01 Plus, then we'll know either the HR-01 Plus will perform better than HR-01 or not. smile.gif

Thermalright never produce crappy products.
All of their products have always been award winning and each of their products has always been the best performer of all. thumbup.gif

may i ask a stupid question???haha
iam using intel 775 processor fan,it damn noisy lo~~can i juz buy the normal fan to replace the noisy fan??any idea??or need to change whole things de??my badget not that much~
*
You can't change the fan on the stock heatsink.
Even if you can, you will raise the temperature of your processor and that will shorten the life of your processor.

Best way is to change into a 3rd party CPU heatsink that can cool your processor more but in the same time, it'll help you make your system go silent. smile.gif

My advise is to get Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro.
It's the cheapest 3rd party CPU heatsink for your system, but still can out perform the stock heatsink even when the fan on the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro is on silent mode.

What's your maximum budget anyway? blink.gif

Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro is just around RM110 - RM115.
You just have to find the right seller. laugh.gif

Owh, don't even think of getting that Freezer 7 Pro at lowyat plaza, because it'll cost you more than RM115 tongue.gif
