 Finally got my steam account back, i've got everything back, yay!

hi, my account got hacked today sadly .. idk how they did it but i think mainly because i logged into Dota2lounge (via steam) / Dotatrade (via steam) to buy few items

out of sudden i receive email requires me to key in verification to relogin into my steam, once entered i cannot logged into my steam and my password has been changed..

anyone can help me please

Update 12/9/2013

I received email response from Steam customer service and finally (durh) got back my account after 1 miserable week of waiting...

HOWEVER there are few things that i would like to highlight

1) My id has been reset to level 1
2) I've lost approximately 150++ dota2 items including Kantusa sword, Axe and Drow Genuine items from Jinx Tshirt, AM Sets, Mirana Sets x3, CM Sets, and couriers, wards,TI3 Items, ALL MYTHICAL,LEGENDARY,and RARES and around 20++ Treasure Keys...
3) I've lost all my friendlist.. my contact is EMPTY although this is not a big deal compare to no.2

so instead of joyful and celebrating moments this is kind off depressing tho cause i have to wait approximately around 1 full week to get my id back with basically rubbish dota 2 items left.. (might better create a new id and start collecting all over again).

this is a real bummer considering multi-billion company have a shitty customer service.. it doesn't even have a phone support!

if i dont get all my items back means its time to say good bye to DOTA2 and maybe start playing another game like HEARTSTONE or FFXIV

p/s : still keeping my fingers crossed tho for 2nd reply from Steam Customer Service

yes i remembered all my activated product keys since i have kantusa and 2 more items...

when u click in and log in, ur account information will be taken by them and bye bye @@

to change ur psw, use ur email to do recovery..log a ticket to steam and tell them ur problem, provide as many information as u can, when they ask u for game key for example, tell them.. (if you use invite or gift, tell them u don have a key and tell them who send u the invite)..provide them the name of your account and who you play before (friend list perhaps)..i think u will able to get back ur account smile.gif tell them about the hijack and try to ask them to recover ur item (i don think it can, but worth to try) cheer!

yes T_T i think because i accidentally click one of the links.. really shit..

my email already changed btw.. yes and i got dota as a gift .. i still have the email tho from my friend who send the dota gift... i still got 3 keys activated (to get ingame items such as kantusa and axe + drow bow)

thank you hopefully i will.. so far im browing thru forums they said up to 1 week but most of them get their account back with all items intact.. i wish the same for me.. anyway thanks

for others out there please enable steam guard as well as two-factor authentication via email.

well no dota a few days for me then

What they did basically just reset back my password and email address.. Reset my friendlist and level

Thats all.. Now waiting for another reply from their representative.. Might take another week at least.. f*** sad.gif
