hi, my account got hacked today sadly .. idk how they did it but i think mainly because i logged into Dota2lounge (via steam) / Dotatrade (via steam) to buy few items

out of sudden i receive email requires me to key in verification to relogin into my steam, once entered i cannot logged into my steam and my password has been changed..

anyone can help me please

I received email response from Steam customer service and finally (durh) got back my account after 1 miserable week of waiting...

HOWEVER there are few things that i would like to highlight

1) My id has been reset to level 1
2) I've lost approximately 150++ dota2 items including Kantusa sword, Axe and Drow Genuine items from Jinx Tshirt, AM Sets, Mirana Sets x3, CM Sets, and couriers, wards,TI3 Items, ALL MYTHICAL,LEGENDARY,and RARES and around 20++ Treasure Keys...
3) I've lost all my friendlist.. my contact is EMPTY although this is not a big deal compare to no.2

so instead of joyful and celebrating moments this is kind off depressing tho cause i have to wait approximately around 1 full week to get my id back with basically rubbish dota 2 items left.. (might better create a new id and start collecting all over again).

this is a real bummer considering multi-billion company have a shitty customer service.. it doesn't even have a phone support!

if i dont get all my items back means its time to say good bye to DOTA2 and maybe start playing another game like HEARTSTONE or FFXIV

p/s : still keeping my fingers crossed tho for 2nd reply from Steam Customer Service

1. https://support.steampowered.com/ 2. open a ticket and report that your account been hacked 3. try to remember all the transactions / product activated keys etc to proove your account 4. you got it back

ur main problem is not those website, is that u click on those link that ppl post out, something like..

"my pc lag, add me to trade, www.steamcommmunittti.com/12345566"

when u click in and log in, ur account information will be taken by them and bye bye @@

to change ur psw, use ur email to do recovery..log a ticket to steam and tell them ur problem, provide as many information as u can, when they ask u for game key for example, tell them.. (if you use invite or gift, tell them u don have a key and tell them who send u the invite)..provide them the name of your account and who you play before (friend list perhaps)..i think u will able to get back ur account tell them about the hijack and try to ask them to recover ur item (i don think it can, but worth to try) cheer!

yes i remembered all my activated product keys since i have kantusa and 2 more items...

yes T_T i think because i accidentally click one of the links.. really shit..

my email already changed btw.. yes and i got dota as a gift .. i still have the email tho from my friend who send the dota gift... i still got 3 keys activated (to get ingame items such as kantusa and axe + drow bow)

for others out there please enable steam guard as well as two-factor authentication via email.

first timer sure dpt account balik. kalo da 2-3 kali mmg tak dpt. biasanya bukan sbb u click that website, usually because u logged in into that website. ==

they might traded out all the items
hopefully steam can retrack back to the time when u got hacked and maintain that data :/

report with a ticket and remember upload the cd key or any credit card or buy receipt along to prove that account belong to you. the ticekt will need wait arroudn 1 week

next time. be extra careful. jgn main login je steam account tu. if u use chrome, click the green thing on ur url bar. u can see the credential.
