You mean this apk right ?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?...p.gearnfcwriter

Because I'm afraid that my s3 mini cannot install due to its android version ( 4.1.2 ), most of the samsung bloatwares required android 4.2 to work. If you meant the app above, then my phone can be installed ! Yay !  icon_rolleyes.gif
Cool ! Amazing ! Did the heart rate monitor works flawless because I'm concerned about the heart rate monitor. You bought it in Samsung center ?
*
There's review claimed the heart rate sensor wasnt too accurate. They compared to dedicated heart rate monitor and Gear Fit 2 missed steps.

It's Google I/O tradition to giveaway gift to participants, pass few years been Nexus/Chrome devices. Since G watch was widely touted as Nexus watch, it's going to be give away during Google I/O 2014 end of this month.

Leaked UK pricing for Moto 360, £199
Not so cheap but it's cheaper than Gear 2, and within my targeted budget.

bundle with nexus? brows.gif

Not likely. Usually Android version reveal in Fall season, and will always coupled with Nexus hardware. We should see HTC Volantis aka Nexus 8 in coming months, with 'L' release.

You can download Google I/O 2014 apps, there's schedule and time table for you to glance on what may reveal during this year's I/O

Already preordered my LG G Watch from Play Store. Waiting for the months late Neptune Pine to arrive. When Moto 360 finally arrives, will be getting that too.

And finally, there's the ultimate Android Wear: Kairos Watches.www.kairoswatches.com. Gonna hang back and see how this is gonna turn out.
*
I saw it some times ago when it start taking pre-orders, there's catch on this one. It uses transparent glass face. So either the OS UI will be too transparent, or mechanical watch behind glass not clear enough to see through.
The video you saw was of computer render image, so it's only as good as concepts.

as smartwatches are relatively young, can I ask what are the arguement for getting one now? Sat Nav, control music playback, answer call(which I don't think people ready to talk towards the watch yet), sound recording... haha I'm generally attracted to new tech stuff but need to convince myself its useful before diving in...
*
I'm using Pebble for some times now, while it's not exactly smart, it's more like extended display of your smartphone.

Example of my personal usage :
Read SMS/Email/Whatsapp, and dismiss it on Pebble, if it's not important or no need to reply.
Control music ( skip track, volume up/down, display song name )

There's even other features that I dont use.
Weather info, nearby restaurant, navigation (map/direction), walking distance/steps, stock price, calendar, notes, pay Starbucks, games (tetris) whistling.gif

Above functions and use case are available on Pebble, which arguably not that smart as it's more toward display output, with very limited input capability.
Android Wear, which utilize voice control, and with touch screen it's possible to type ( minuum had work on it already ). Noted that Android wear rely on your Android smartphone for most functions/features, so it's gonna be fast and powerful.
So feel free to imagine you leave you smartphone inside your pocket most of the time, because some ( and more will coming ) of the task can already completed from your wrist.

Moto 360 vs LG G watch
It's definitely not as huge as most of us anticipated earlier.
