The more i think of it, the more impact of the transfer hits me.
Those that watched the pre-season tour on Arsenal Player (free to watch then) would have seen the massive potential of Gedion Zelalem, 16 year old German, with deft defense splitting passes like those similiar to Fabregas. Ozil is 24 and until the end of Ozil's 5 year contract, Zelalem will be 21 with the best possible role model in front of him 24/7.
If Zelalem has high ceiling, Arsenal could be looking at two decades of massive quality playmakers right now.

Ozil is an awesome player, 40mil is a steal. I don't usually support bpl teams.. but now I have a reason to.

Giroud already proven to be very predatory in the box. Many also forget, last season, Walcott also scored goals when he was operating as centre forward..good option to have..

With that kind of stats you'd wonder why we didn't buy a striker. Even Nik B would bury at least a quarter of those chances.

We still have 35 million pound left. Could that be ozil's salary? 7mil per year. five years= 35 million pound. (if im not wrong, i read somewhere where arsenal's war chest includes the player's salary)
This means no more transfer in jan? someone?
