dun put so much hope on it, its not that a good of a series. Featuring the worse female character in all of gundam. the wussiest main character of all time (arguable kio though but tey r equal in my book). Its also littered in inconsistency, as a story bridging 0079 and zeta its doesn't make much sense really. Animation is top notch for its time but other then that its pretty meh.

when new series come and do well, ce will be forgotten. It makes tons of money sure but the fatigue is already showing. Tey can extend it further with BF but beyond that depending on what series tey'll run, possibly back to uc again seeing the success of unicorn. By then ce will b pretty much dead.

female character - agree, i was like.. dafuq?! srsly?
main character - gives some promise initially, then going downhill right when they go to outer space.
i'm impressed with the animation, considering something from 1992.

but couldn't agree about "doesn't make much sense", what i see in 0083 tells the origin of TITANS, and the gundam development in between the amuro's rx-78, and the rx-178 mk2.

timing is right, after i watched recently, GP01 RG arrived at local store, and bought the earth type. WIP at the moment, just finished build the core fighter, including detailing and decals.

u dun need an entire 12 epi ova to tell the rise of titans. We know the feds r a bunch of ******* incompetent corrupt morons from 0079, the transition from that to a faction of racist goons is easy to comprehend. While is nice and all to c, its not really a necessity. Its not like the feds as portray in 0079 r all angels and the transition into titans was so out of left field. Its self explanatory really. Besides the whole titans sthick only appear at the end, so where on earth r there in the beginning of the story if the story itself is being branded as the rise of titans? If this is the case then the story isn't really bout titans at all so what its about really?

as for the dun make sense part:
colony drop north america, zeta north america pretty much intact. In comparison, sydney was turned into a 300miles wide crater from a portion of a colony drop from operation british, yet now an entire colony drop and have practically no effect in zeta???? really????

Hahah though this maybe apply only to hardcore fans. Coz if this really applies to all, both of them won't be in top 10 ranking of Newtype most popular anime character until today (both are in the top 10 of their respective ranking all the way from Seed release until now): http://i.imgur.com/delJd.jpg

That didn't stop them from making a GFF out of it though. Then again, I'd rather have a MG Gerbera Tetra than another Gundam.

not sure abt this coz i never watched 0083..
but based on the evolve ending & according to wikia source above, it's merely under-development, the unit itself never built.
as for model kits, i'm pretty sure bandai will release this kit in the future.. most probably in HGUC with the label "0083 MSV"

edit: abit more of research shows that this MS already released in BB Senshi, GundamWar card game & the discontinued 1/400 scale Gundam Collection trading figures, many years ago.
so yeah, it's all very "canonical" as far as the blueprint of this MS goes.

this is why I like HGUC line more
they cover more on MSV or alternative series like Hazel Custom from Advanced of Zeta, Blue Destiny unit 01 from Mobile Suit Blue Destiny, Zudah from MS Igloo
and also the upcoming Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt

maybe because you haven't seen him next to anything else but i think the F91 is looking fantastic.. curious on how they will put the red on the shoulders.. hoping it's plastic underneath, but most likely will be stickers.. might just paint it up then, but overall i'm loving how it looks.. bring on the next all gundam project MS! what i've seen is making me very happy
