Everton FC reject £15M offer from Man United for Leighton Baines

QUOTE
Everton have rejected a £15million offer for Leighton Baines from Manchester United.

David Moyes returned to his former club on deadline day with an improved offer for the Blues left-back but chairman Bill Kenwright is determined to resist all offers for the Kirkby-born player.

The Premier League champions are expected to secure the capture of Baines' teammate Marouane Fellaini later, with the 26-year-old given time off by the Belgian FA in order to secure a move to Old Trafford, where he will be reunited with former Everton manager Moyes.

United previously tabled joint bids for the pair, at £28million and £38million, which were both rejected by Goodison Park officials while attention has now turned to Fellaini's replacement.

Baines: Noooo Afro.. don't leave me sweat.gif

Looks like we're out for Baines. Don't mind since we're quite alright on the left.

What surprises me is RM's willingness to let Fabio Coentrao leave the club, be it on loan or permanently. Coentrao is one of the best LB in Europe, in fact, RM have both Marcelo and Coentrao to deploy, making their LB one of the strongest in the world.

Basically now the jury is not confirmed, could go either way, will he join or will he not. Most likely off.

Anyway, welcome Afroman! A much needed 'tough cookie' in our midfield. Set pieces should be interesting, take advantage of them. Come on Moyes, we believe in you.

Coentrao will most likely be cup-tied for the CL by then but Herrara won't. Still, I can't see Bilbao accepting anything less than the release clause. They are not desperate to sell which is the same as Fellaini so United will have to pay over the odds again.

Agreed with Moyes on Herrera's price being overvalued. 30mil is alot for a player who is still at a young age and has yet to peak properly. Hopefully they'll concentrate on other targets during the next window.

United send mega flop Bebe back to Portugal... after he fails to start a SINGLE League game in three years!
QUOTE
Manchester United flop Bebe has signed for Portuguese side Pacos de Ferreira on a season-long loan deal.
The 22-year-old, who was signed for £7.4million in 2010 but has NEVER started a game in the Barclays Premier League.
Bebe has two years left on the five year contract he signed upon his arrival in 2010, and his time at Old Trafford has often been overshadowed by mockery and confusion – with former boss Sir Alex Ferguson admitting he had not even seen a video of the player prior to splashing the cash three years ago.

I might get flak for this but I am just going to write it as a "thinking out loud" post because it has been bugging me for sometime now.

You can be a fan of Manchester United if you like:
1) Heart attack moments in every game and late winners
2) Frustrating transfer dealings and seldom buying superstars
3) Sometimes losing to rivals over the course of the season and have to endure their short term bragging rights
4) Only can brag when the team wins silverware at the end of the season

You can be a fan of Chelsea if you like:
1) Having a egomaniac manager that has better lines that "managers" of WWE wrestlers.
2) Always able to buy superstars every transfer window but see 1/5 of them flop, especially strikers.
3) Being in contention for silverware at home or europe every season,

You can be a fan of Liverpool if you like:
1) Short term bragging rights when winning against rivals yet don't have the horsepower to mount a challenge over the course of a season.
2) Enjoy a brand of anti-football similar to Mourinho as Rodgers adapts his own style to his former senior's teachings.
3) Enjoy Rodgers approach to youth and pace

You can be a fan of Arsenal if you like:
1) To have a stingy manager whom will sometimes go too far when it comes to saving money on behalf of the club, can be frustrating at times when he usually signs nobody's from Africa and France but he always seems to get the best out of the 3/5 times.
2) A team which can be considered the Barcelona of BPL which strives to play beautiful football even when they should just play to get a result.
3) Don't mind calling yourself a Goon.

You can be a fan of Manchester City if you like:
1) Changing managers every season, thus direction and style of play changes from season to season with nothing constant.
2) Near unlimited funds and no player's reserve price is unreachable thus transfer season is a real life version of FM yet just buying superstars and putting them into a squad doesn't always make them a team.
3) Even when recently winning the title and always having more money to buy players than arch rivals United, you always feel you're over compensating as the club has still a long way to go before it can have the tradition, heritage and history of some of the more establish BPL clubs - thus plastic is a moniker often associated even for die-hard fans as people in general don't think players go to City for anything else than money.
*
Not forgetting that United have more British players on-field than any other squads that you've mentioned above.

Take the example of the game against Chelsea:

Jones, Ferdinand, Young, Welbeck, Carrick and Giggs.

Managed by a Brit (Scottish), the British talent lives long. In Britian we trust. brows.gif

QUOTE(budakhijau @ Sep 3 2013, 04:26 PM)
morning lads...

suck it up...with the transfer window close...#welkamfellaini...

as i sum up the signing that we craving for...at the beginning of moyes reign...i did say that im happy enuf if moyesy didnt get any signing...as long as the team of champion he inherit from saf stay together...he done well in keep roon n make him fit...nobody left kan...nani is on verge of new contract...there is talk of new batch of contract after transfer window close from the management...nani wazza etc...as i see it...moyes done well coming in and settle down...above all player that we hav n new signing arrive...for me it is moyes who shud the one to be bed himself to the club first...he did that  magnificently in pre season setup till now...the lads all are on their toes...early in the season...we get big 5 opening games...ever...as per my liking...the team is on fire...determined...work their socks off in all 3 past game...he need to know his squad 1st...the strength...the weakness...areas to improved...its not broken why fix...he is happy with the squad he hav rite now...i bet he not done yet squeeze every talent n potential from the lads...

he's just begin...for those who dont get about what his comment after pool game...yes...i see the same game that moyes put on...we play the best football this season after just 3 games...i see as the season goes...more best football gonna top this one...as for me...its quite sometimes past 2-3 season game vs liverpool, rival etc that i had goosebump chill excited match...apart from the goal...i tot we were in control from front to the back...even when we loose the ball...all the lads make sure we get it back...do u see any clear chances they create to threat ddg...i tot ddg had a quite game...a quite game vs rival liverpool...really...did we see that every past season...1st half we go neck to neck with them...2nd half we bring it to them...while their game vs villa if u follow...u can see that kind of 2nd half...coutinho n sturidge isolated up front...i do understand it doesnt matter how we play...3 or 1 point is important...i rather lose point now n get thing kick on as the season goes n get into momentum...later tumble against minnow side...

rvp no where around be seen...i do see he is playing his role as a forward...alone...stick to sktel n agger...send anyone against this 2...u gonna be smack...that what CB do...dont let him play...he will do damage if u let him...kesian kan...thats why rooney is vital to partner him...shoulder his burden together...sadly he is out injured...if rooney is there...i bet we will hav same line up vs chelsea...

and we play like everton???really...i tot moyes want us to play that way...its him want everton to play like that...high pace press...i really like that kind of game...make u off ur seat all the way...i think thats how to play football...exactly how i play n luv to watch...u dont let the opponent hav the ball n let them harm u...if u let them...they gain confidence...for me...a human a player...give them confidence...let them express themself...they gonna do amazing things...look at bale...CR...messi...their confident is all time high n they can do anything to express their talent...given a team full of confidence...think what u can get...cardiff can beat city...after a gameplan n contain them 1st half...so...to me...i like the way we play now...very exciting...for those who tot it was boring...please to share ur tot...wud luv to hear...

i never understand the bashing on clev really...he is playing the role he is assign...wat u wanna expect from him?do a ronaldo?do a cesc n thiago?his strength is passing...not really dribbling...what he do best as i see it is switching play...bring composure in the middle like carrick...controlling the tempo...for me...the reason we go after thiago n cesc n even harrera is we need their split razor defend weighted passing from deep...if we wanna play targetman or high ball from midfield...i tot we hav carrick (dem i miss scholesy)...clev is not yet that kind of player...he is not yet that confident to do that pass...to me ando is an option...but he is not ready fit yet for that kind of high intensity game...if he play...carrick will left alone in the middle...ando can do the razor sharp pass but always over weighted n he can dribble thru the middle but left carrick alone...thats why i tot they go with clev...n clev had a full pre season n play previous 2 games effectively...kagawa is an option...but behind striker in the hole...if he play along side carrick...can he track back like clev did all along the game...i bet he is not ready yet for hard battle tackle in BPL...he taste it last season...but if go to battle...i tot he gonna be smack...that why fellaini shud be sign...give us steel there...while kagawa can focus in the hole to do his business...

still i think moyes wud luv to hav spanish essence of passing even we hav sign fellaini...he gonna need it against diff type dimension team...then again...why dont we go for ozil?i luv ozil games...but do the team can accomodate him...i tot players brought in to accomodate the team...as much as world class he is...i put him in same breath as mata n silva...he will taste the wrath of BPL...the way moyes want us to play doesnt suit to bring him in...42 million...is super mahal...i wud prefer we use that money next season or two for barkley...

anyway...just my 2 sen...all in all...i want to see more game under moyes...all the lads back into fold...healthy football...clean rivalry...no international injury...more football plsss...

p/s : sinoffire help me spoiler...bring on new challenger TLDR...ahahaha...more to come but i mess my point everywhere...next time i hire writer or maybe buat rangka karangan dulu...haiyaaa...

This one deserves the tfl:dfr hahahahaa. Kidding.

Anyway I agree that DDG had a quiet game but he was always aware of his surroundings, noticed with Vidic misplaced his back pass, DDG was alert as ever.

I believe Kagawa deserves his chances should he be fit. A midfield comprising of Fellaini and Carrick combo is a good fit. You'd reckon if Rooney is push back to the left wing, Kagawa will get to play behind striker, hence a 4-4-1-1 formation. Only if Rooney is willing to play on the left or rotate between Carrick and Fellaini.

Nani needs to buck up. He has the talent, just need to grab his chances and improve. Ashley Young, no comment.

Interesting times ahead.

I sense a wee bit of hypocrisy from someone who recently bashed the team for their poor pre-season form, now doing a reverse effect? Amazing how people change their stance overtime until you don't even know what the heck is he trying to portray in the first place.

Hypocrisy at it's very best!

That is one seriously complicated transfer right there. Quite understandable from Bilbao's POV that they want to complicate things to prevent other clubs from snapping up their stars. Basically there are more than 2 parties are involved in this transfer snag.

Whatever it is, if Moyes is seriously interested in Herrera, he will come back for him and exploit the loophole. Complicated enough to make one confused. God save them.

I'm angry! Ronaldo slams Ozil's £42.5m Arsenal move as Real stars queue up to question sale

QUOTE
Cristiano Ronaldo has declared his anger at Mesut Ozil’s departure to Arsenal.
Germany playmaker Ozil was a deadline-day record signing for the Gunners at £42.5million, with Ronaldo becoming the latest Real Madrid star to express his frustration at the move.
According to Spanish paper AS, Ronaldo has told Portugal team-mates his views on Ozil's switch, which came hours after confirmation of Real's world-record £86million signing of Tottenham's Gareth Bale.
'The sale of Ozil is very bad news for me,' he said.
'He was the player who best knew my moves in front of goal... I'm angry about Özil leaving.'
Real claim the move to Arsenal is a result of Ozil wanting to leave, but he had been told to go because the club need to pay loans taken out to bring in Bale, costing £100m-plus in repayments.
Bale will not be able to offer Ozil’s ability to find Ronaldo with a pass anywhere on the pitch, as the Portugal star alluded to.
Ronaldo's words come after a host of other top Real players spoke out on their team-mate's departure for London.
Such was Ozil’s popularity at the Bernabeu, he was one of the few players with friends on both sides of the club’s divide.

Ronaldo’s Portuguese contingent were all fond of him, while captain and Spain standard-bearer Sergio Ramos even risked former boss Jose Mourinho’s wrath to stand up for Real’s No 10.
In a game against Deportivo last season, when Ozil was taken off at half-time, Ramos put the No 10 shirt on under his own for the second half.
He felt Ozil was being unfairly targeted by Mourinho and if he scored was ready to rip off his shirt to dedicate the goal to his friend.
And Ramos said following Ozil's departure: 'It's obvious that he is a special team-mate and friend.
'I've always had a real 'feeling' with him, and it's a shame. He's a great footballer, unique.
'Ozil would be the very last player who I would sell from Real Madrid, if it was up to me. I don't understand this.
'But he has decided, and the club too. We have a great team and I hope it will be a big year [for us].'
Ramos took to Twitter to post a picture of him holding Ozil's last ever Madrid shirt, with the message: 'Your last match's t-shirt will be kept foundly with me.'
Ozil's national coach, German manager Joachim Low, also expressed his surprise at Real getting rid of the playmaker.
'Many Real players like Sami Khedira or Cristiano Ronaldo are sad about the transfer,' he said.
'For me, it's incomprehensible that Real would sell one of their top scorers.
'Mesut is a sensitive player and he needs the faith from the club and the coach.
'It seems that was not longer 100% there at Real whereas Arsenal and their coach Arsene Wenger pulled out all the stops to get him.
