Man United yet to button up £1bn shirt deal
QUOTE Manchester United chief Ed Woodward, who has taken the brunt of the blame for failings in the transfer window, has another deal to get over the line valued at well over 10 times the price of Gareth Bale. Aww Nike again? But that will be good money for United United had been expected to sign a new long-term contract with shirt suppliers Nike for as much as £1billion before the six-month exclusive negotiating period ended last month. Woodward had been confident as long ago as last October of agreeing a 'major increase' in terms with Nike, whose current £303m deal expires at the end of next season. The next United kit partnership is estimated to be worth 10 figures if the length of the contract is similar to the present 13-year agreement. There is time pressure on Woodward and his commercial staff because the big sports clothing companies, with whom United are now free to negotiate, generally need 18 months' notice to deliver a new kit range. But with Puma (Arsenal), adidas (Chelsea) and Warrior (Liverpool) all investing considerable funds elsewhere in the Premier League, Nike are still strong favourites to keep their swoosh on the United shirt. A Nike spokeswoman said: 'We have a great partnership with Manchester United and are still talking to them.' |

QUOTE(silkysilk @ Sep 7 2013, 10:40 PM) Well, it's 13 years contract. Moreoever, Nike should be paying us more than any other Nike teams around, as one of the most marketable brands (sports team) around, Nike needs to tie up a good deal for United knowing the fact that they have lost Arsenal. In fact all top 4 teams in the league are tied to different sponsors. United - Nike Arsenal - Puma Chelsea - Adidas Liverpool - Warrior No Man City? That is because I don't rate them as top 4. QUOTE(zenix @ Sep 8 2013, 02:23 AM) 1BN? Yup, and with CR7, our shirt sales will bloom again. More $ for Nike then. Lets hope he is better at getting sponsorship money than buying players. 1BN is enough to clear debt and welcome CR7 back home? TBH i never heard of warriors and underarmor.....so how come they got so much moolah? Underarmour are famous for inner wear, you know those tight fitting shirts that those athletes wear during workout etc. Take the Rock for example, he wears them QUOTE(projectnew @ Sep 8 2013, 02:57 AM) So what? United dun want sign ozil.. Got so much money also no use.. ^ We need to increase our allowable wages.. I think compare to other big teams, ours is one of the lowest.. QUOTE(nshady @ Sep 8 2013, 04:06 AM) And suspended for one game |

QUOTE(zenix @ Sep 9 2013, 11:31 AM) you got any links? Not Bebe again There is no doubt in terms of talent RVN is much better but he is at his most lethal when the team is focused around him to provide ammunition. Except for once or twice with us and during his early years he isn't one to dribble the ball from midfield and score, he is always standing near the box waiting for long balls and crosses. He also likes to stand near the box with a defender to his back, receives the ball then blast past the defender to score. I've video evidence that Bebe is the most lethal striker on earth as well. RVN is that player that goes: Oi! Give me the ball, I'll finish it for you! As prolific as he may be, his work rate is pretty low. Nevertheless good fox-in-the-box. Anyway |

QUOTE(konichiwawa @ Sep 9 2013, 12:12 PM) Moyes' tactic is actually very simple. It's similar to what SAF used last time. He likes to use wingers. He had a winger to cut in which opens up the space for the full backs to cross the ball. He did that with Pienaar and Baines on the left. Agreed. Full-backs bombarding forward requires alot of energy, hence it is quite understandable why Moyes wanted a new LB before the window shut. Just a precaution if one gets fatigued throughout the season. |

QUOTE(nshady @ Sep 13 2013, 07:28 AM) is this the biggest joke ever? hahha He will warm the bench as well if he wants to join us. DDG is irreplaceable lolIker Casillas will ask to join United in January if he cannot regain his place as Real Madrid's first-choice goalkeeper, according to Cuatro. The report claims the Spanish legend has spoken to Sir Alex Ferguson on at least three occasions about a shock move to Old Trafford and the former manager obviously remains on the Reds' board. |

Young should be benched
Yaanoozei came in for a short cameo, showed Young what a left winger should be doing. His vision is amazing, noticed a few defensive splitting pass a few times. Bring back Bebeinho plz |

QUOTE(sinoffire @ Sep 15 2013, 10:39 AM) eberibadi talking how youngie shud be out...has anyone ever thot of tony v shud be out as well? just becos he track back alot doesnt make him immune to the chop. his play is too one-dimensional and too predictable edi. got so bloody frustrated watching him play nowadays. really  to the max eberitaim he hold the ball. just offload him. unless he improve his gameplay, i doubt he can start. TonyV ah. His darting runs quite good because he's got the pace. As you've said lor, too predictable. But slowly he's discovering his form (i hope). yanoozei to replace youngie on the left, zaha for tony v on the right. afro in the middle for ando. those 3 flers can tapao go other clubs edi. dun wanna see the back of 'em. inb4 shitstorm kambing inb4 fm thataway Ando's trip yesterday was inb4 DDG gets shipped out as well because he hardly moved against Palace (only once or twice) . owai |

QUOTE(sinoffire @ Sep 15 2013, 11:01 AM) ^ darting run quite good. big deal. all defenders in bpl know how to deal wif him already. mark him down to his right, make bloody sure he got no extra space on the right, force him to cut in. he cant shoot or cross wif his left foot. there, threat nullify. he'll for sure pass to other teammates. repeat the above for whole of the match on a weekly basis. He reminds me of Jesus Navas except Navas can dribble better. Navas doesnt score much too, just hog the right flank but supply better than TonyV. Wouldn't say that selling TonyV is ideal because we are lacking experienced wingers for the moment. Zaha? Potential but not much of experience deswai Moyes not playing him YET. Nani, idk what to say but when he's on form, he's alright. so. u stil wan tony v? cant take FKs, cant take corners, no goal threat, crossing tak sampai. joined us since 2009. it's about time now. I do noticed that TonyV cannot shoot with his left, whenever he changed feet, the balls either goes swaying or lose possession. Our wingers xlaku lah, no takers |

For the lulz.
American headband company that came to Rooney's rescue Wayne Rooney's head injury might have stopped him playing for England, but one quick-thinking company helped get the striker back on the pitch at Old Trafford sooner than expected. Storelli is a New York-based firm that specialises in protective gear for athletes, particularly footballers. On hearing of Rooney’s injury, they emailed Manchester United’s medical team to offer their services and United, suitably intrigued, requested some samples. They arrived last Thursday night and, after training with it for only a day, Rooney was happy enough to start the game. ![]() ![]() This post has been edited by andrewtho: Sep 16 2013, 02:59 PM |

I trust Adnan Januzaj will tie down for a long-term contract. What he needs now is an improved deal from his current, an assurance that he will get sufficient games, which he would as it would greatly improve his development into a one of the best in future.
If playing time is what Yanoozei seeks, why on earth would he want to join Citeh? Look at their overflowing talents of midfielders. No way he can develop properly there. Unless he choose money over playing time. Any how, I cannot see him joining our noisy neighbors. This post has been edited by andrewtho: Sep 17 2013, 07:56 PM |

So with both Manchester clubs playing in mid week, I guess the Manchester Derby would be a straining ons for both. Test of mental strength

QUOTE(caballero206 @ Sep 18 2013, 08:37 AM) There was one moment where Fellaini was beaten by that Bender guy, who apparently smaller that him. Lars Bender? Upcoming German tanker. Overall he was ok but looks like he reluctant to go and assist our strike force. |
