I have a serious obssesive thought.Whenever I am not extremely busy, the negative image will appear in my mind. I am trying my best to ignore it and get it off from my head. But moment later,it will just appear again. I suppose I should be seeking psychologist for treatment but I would like to listen for any of you who can provide me suggestion and opinion.

The feeling is awful. I have ton of shit in my head which I can't get off.

Curious question, as follows:

Do you have a religion, what is it, and are you a devout believer and practitioner? And would you consider yourself satisfactorily knowledgeable about your own religion?

These is actually not a curious question. It is a mentality problem if you view it from another angle. Looking forward for your opinion.

There are so many angles to look at it, why would you settle on the mentality problem angle? Perhaps you can explain why?

Question still remains as curious though. Allows me to understand more about your condition as you yourself highlighted.

well, the purpose of posting this thread is to see if anyone has any idea of how to reduce my current symptom. The negative image in my mind such as feces, shit and poop kept popping out and frustrate me all the time. I try to eliminate them but none of my method works. I have to keep myself in the very busy mode to temporary get rid of this memory.

And to provide ideas I would require an answer to the question I posted, no?

It is of course mentally related. However do note that everyone has their own differing problems.

That is an extremely idiotic, immature, pathetic and ill-informed reply.

That's the problem with asking such sensitive psychological questions
in a layman's forum.

The desire to eat feces is termed coprophagia.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coprophagia

However, apparently yours is different, since you have no desire to eat it,
but merely have thoughts of it.

It could be OCD, since you appear to have an obsession with such objects,
but then OCD usually is associated with an act, rather than a thought, such
as compulsive washing of hands to rid one's obsession with bacteria.

OCD is usually treated with one of the SSRIs such as fluvoxamine, as well as
hypnosis and counselling.

A psychiatrist should be able to diagnose and treat your condition.
