just called UOB CC center

Now im confused regarding VOX card on the annual/monthly fees

this is what i've been told

Agent : NO Annual Fees. Just RM6 monthly fees which will be automatically waived if i use it at least once per month

UOB Branch : There is annual fees on top of the RM6 monthly fees

CC Center : There's no annual fees

rclxub.gif same bank, different department, different answer?? which is the truth?

You never read T&C? T&C is the strongest answer. Once a month swipe, waive RM6. However, as per latest, confirmed by UOB Headquarters marking department and customer service (called them to triple confirm), there is no annual fee for 2nd year onwards. Just need to call ask them waive it. For first year, ya you need to call as well. But i'll adhere to the dumb T&C rule since T&C overrides everything else and it's a solid written proof.
If everything goes bad, people will say something else. So i'd rather go with the T&C

Pls Refer to: http://www1.uob.com.my/assets/pdf/tnc/disclosure/General.pdf You will get the Answer from There... nod.gif

QUOTE(fkinmeng @ Mar 19 2014, 10:23 PM)
i would take citibank, because for petrol cash back it's better than uob for now.

how often would 1 pump bhp anyway? unless bhp is nearby.
*
QUOTE(whitesabre @ Mar 19 2014, 10:27 PM)
Advantages of UOB One
1) CT Cash back does not reflect immediately on statements. UOB One card does

2) CT Cash Back Plat is 5%. For UOB One, if you pump at BHP, the average per month is usually 5.5% (3.5% avg + 2%) if you pump most before 15th and less after 15th.

3) UOB One got 10% (5+5) cash back at GSC 7 days a week. CT cashback don't have

4) Collectible Smart$ rebates are good since you can collect them. Good for future use at certain smart merchants

5) UOB One visa salary requirement 24k. CT CashBack 40k...stumbling block for new grads.

6) Low annual fee in case bank doesn't waive. CT Cashback RM195. If don't waive, you cry.

Advantages of CT Plat
1) Free complimentary insurance coverage. Very useful if card drops. UOB must pay for the insurance.

2) Reimbursement of money if product is unsatisfactory. Very good point.

3) 5% cash back petrol for all pumps. Useful. No nid hunt for BHP

4) Senheng gives up to 24 months 0% payment plan. UOB only 12 months.

5) Citibank got more merchant partners. Very good for discounts when eat out. Many places with Citibank logos. UOB very few.
*
I Do Agreed with You Both... nod.gif
As For for Myself even I Got Both Cards, I Prefer UOB More than Citi Coz UOB Credit Rebate to Us $$$ Masuk ke Account Every Month, as Citibank have to Wait the Cash Rebate Sampai RM50 baru Credit to the Account ... sweat.gif

Actually, there's a reason citibank does this. I'm not sure if I'm right. Any citi users can explain on this. My guess for letting us wait RM50 is because some months, we don't achieve RM50. So when it's nearing year end, they can use the cashback (not yet reach RM50) to offset the RM50 gst. Additional they call it waiver. This my my opinion though. Any users can verify?
*
I Don't Think So... hmm.gif
Just Called for AF waiver for My Citi CB, they Never Mention that we can Use the Rebate Accumulation to Offset AF or GST.... blink.gif
the Reason I Regularly used UOB Card coz I go to Work by Motorbike... the Fuel Consumption Tiada Banyak, Petrol Rebate should be Less, so the $50 Accumulation thing Not My Preference... if Have to Kumpul Until When will get
$50 Cash Back with Petrol < $100 a Month sweat.gif

my 2nd year is coming near the corner..

i called to the cc and he said the gst rm50 must be paid by smart cash rebate only..
if not enuff then i need to pay it..
im not going to use my smart cash rebate for it, so im planning to use all my smart cash rebate for petrols and then give it a call to cancel the card if they insist for me to pay the gst rm50...
then, after cancellation is done, i'm going to reapply this card again to get the free gst again.. biggrin.gif

can this be done? any comments? haha..

Got the answer in previous pages.

Feel like canceling my UOB cards. Useless for me.

1) M2Cards
2) OCBC Ti (May is the anniversary, not sure if I should keep it?)
3) SCB Plat (Applied for the RM 650 cash back which I have used up and never used it after that, will terminate soon)
4) Citibank Corporate Credit Card (Cannot terminate, company's supplied card for business expenses)
5) UOB Preferred Plat
6) UOB One Plat
