QUOTE(Garroth @ Apr 7 2014, 09:35 AM) Hi there, I have a few questions here: 1) allocation of 900k is for all petrol stations (not limited to bhp) and not including other cash rebates (groceries. pharmacy, etc)1) The 900K is allocated purely for pumping petrol at BHP, not including other cash rebates like groceries right? 2) Will the 900K finish earlier than mid month? Eg. A lot people use, so allocation finished in first week? The mid month saying is just assumption right? 2) uob cs said that it is safe to say you will be entitled for 5% if you pump during the first 2 weeks, however, the allocation might be finished earlier/later than the first 2 weeks (depending on users) |

QUOTE(ciohbu @ Apr 7 2014, 03:01 PM) hahaaa.. at least we know we got REAL cashback with citibank citibank may be able to last longer before they really revise the t&c because they only pay out the rebate after rm50 accumulation, means they are not giving out huge petrol rebates every month.for uob.. its like lucky draw its a matter of time i guess... b4 everyone apply for citi cashback plat and force citibank to revise their t&c for this card |

QUOTE(S-Y-H @ Apr 7 2014, 10:48 PM) thanks for the suggestion! i was looking at the Citibank Cashback Platinum too. but the annual fee which is not certain whether it's waivable sets me off if you can wait to pump only during weekends, mbb2amex 5%+5xtp is good for you. and if you have any urgent moment to pump during the weekdays, you still can use the other mbb2visa/master for 3% at caltex.what do you think about the Maybank 2 Cards? it's 5% cashback for weekends. So i can just fill up my petrol on every weekends, there's a lot of petrol stations around my place |

QUOTE(whitesabre @ Apr 8 2014, 12:19 PM) MBB 2 cards will ONLY waive ONE card for GST out of 2 cards. Meaning you still must pay RM50. My aunt confirmed this. For weekend petrol, if you can wait till weekends then ok. If not, go for Citibank cashback. yes, mbb2cards only waive one gst but they also only charge one gst for the 2 cards. |

QUOTE(whitesabre @ Apr 8 2014, 02:24 PM) Actually it doesnt make sense coz I apply 2 UOB cards and the CS says they will waive my both GST and annual fee. I even got the email from them as proof. I wonder why Maybank cannot. maybank only charge 1 gst for 2 cards, so when they offer 1 gst waiver means you don't have to pay anything. |

QUOTE(Human Nature @ Apr 8 2014, 05:45 PM) Technically you are right, GST is charged for each card. However, GST for one card is waived not because she called; it is waived for everyone. yes, that's the point. 1 gst for 2 cards as per advertised.whitesabre the other gst can just use 12,500 tp to redeem. |

QUOTE(Devil4life @ Apr 10 2014, 08:53 AM) The 5% rebate you meant is for the smartcash or for the petrol rebate? for petrol rebate.Someone mention here that he unable to get cash rebate for his petrol transaction on the 16th Mar I think. May I know how much each of the transaction amount you did? yes, i know someone said 16/3 and onward no more receive the 5% cash rebate. but i pumped rm94.50 at shell on 26/3 still received the 5%. maybe uob allocate the 5% based on monthly quota per user? or uob let pumping at non-bhp still can receive? |

QUOTE(whitesabre @ Apr 10 2014, 10:09 AM) Me said it. They had quota of RM300 for UOB One Classic. Mine on classic and I did not reach that quota of RM300. Only pump around Rm100. I must call CS i think. Unfair since you pumped RM94.50 and still get rebate. i mean the quota per user like every user can only allowed to get 33% of their monthly quota? something like that.for example, for me, my max is rm500 but i only use rm60 on 5/3 and rm94.50 on 26/3. means i only use rm154.50 out of my rm500 max (which was less than 33% of my max). and your case was rm100 out of rm300 (which is also around 33% only). |

QUOTE(whitesabre @ Apr 10 2014, 10:25 AM) LOL 33% of monthly quota?? Then what for put quota limit of RM300? Quota of RM300 means the limit ma. So which means we should can reach Rm300 or RM15 cashback. i just think so, not confirm. because maybe uob wants to be fair to all users to have chance to get the 5%. LOL! just thinking only. actually i'm very dissatisfied with this contest/lucky draw type of 5% rebate. going to cut the card anytime soon. |

QUOTE(whitesabre @ Apr 10 2014, 10:45 AM) I still need to wait till my salary level reaches 2.5k. Will cancel the card replace with Maybank 2 Gold Cards. 5% fixed on weekends definitely better for me since I spent most on weekends. I'll still keep the UOB vox card due to the online 5% cashback. Useful if i buy things online from groupon. argh, i was just slightly late to cancel it!!! both gst (rm50) and annual fee (rm168) just being charged! annual fee waiver will need to call back after 3 working days whether approved or not. but gst must be paid. |

QUOTE(chongaik82 @ Apr 10 2014, 12:25 PM) QUOTE(whitesabre @ Apr 10 2014, 12:26 PM) Hmm last time I asked the CS before subscribing, they say no minimum usage or number of swipes for annual fee. All I have to do is call the CS, and they will immediately waive it. 1) need to wait at least 3 working days to know whether approved to get annual fee waiver or not2) need to call to ask as they won't inform you by themselves |

QUOTE(sj0217 @ Apr 10 2014, 02:16 PM) Why dont use smart cash to offset the GST charge?? otherwise get a hlb wise instead.Between, since bank has been updated TnC about petrol cash back limit, now seldom use for this card for petrol, always plan to pump the petrol on weekends. I Was thinking whether Citi Platinum cash back is good enough to be replace for petrol on weekdays. |
