UOB no longer has automatic Annual Fee waiver upon swiping X no. of times and/or RMx in a year?

i just called to uob customer service, i was told that we can only call to waive the annual fee after the fee is imposed. smile.gif

if you were a high spender with uob credit card and a good pay master, i believe they will waive for you without negotiation. icon_rolleyes.gif

I only use it for petrol, average spend RM300-400 per month only and I pay off fully every month

No chance for them to charge me interest laugh.gif

are you using uob one card classic or uob one card platinum? if classic, you just need to swipe 60 times to waive it. smile.gif

Classic.

Last time they write on UOB website about that 60 times = waive thingy. Now no more, that's why I'm worred.

60 times still applies for classic... but for platinum, have to spend minimum rm36k or rm60k per year. this is what make people worried because we earn rm36k or rm60k per year to apply this card. so, it means we have to spend everything we earn using this card, in order to waive the annual fee. vmad.gif mad.gif

I lied saying that I discarded the card. Old card is yellowish due to excessive usage. New card FOC + RM50 rebate.

dont believe what is stated at the website, they can easily offer you 5 years waiver on annual fees when you say want to cancel the card

i mainly use for petrol 300per month...dining and grocery lil bit but nt much

can waive AF?

it is not like you can always see their road shows around. the moment you made up your mind, the terms may have changed just like OCBC.

most of the time, i see cc agents giving away plasticware. you may try your luck
