I just saw Citibank Cash Rebate Platinum. Seems that all transactions has rebate with a cap of RM30 and RM60. Alright, thanks for the advice whitesabre.
*
Not all. Only petrol limited to RM30, groceries at RM60. Others all open. Not everything comes with cap. RM30 for petrol means RM600 petrol pump, groceries RM60 rebate means RM3,000 in total. Not bad ma. Even UOB One got cap. I like Citibank CashBack Plat due to the petrol only. Only a personal cap. UOB One got national-level cap at 900k. If u really want a good card, get Citibank CashBack Plat together with Maybank 2 Cards. This one offers 5% (cap at RM50 per month) on weekends and 5x treat points. You partner both cards together, you get a perfect weekdays + weekends cards.

Very true. And banks aren't so stupid to blacklist us for loan applications based on RM50. We're talking about loans, with interest shooting to thousands, sometimes more. I don't think they are stupid enough to bother about RM50 and lose potential thousands of interest incomes.

^^ that's cool. I got like RM30-40 SmartCash. Gonna use them all, then get back RM60 to 80. Nice. Best part, lets say I got RM40 SmartCash and I spend like RM60, the RM20 is also entitled to the 5%. Hahaha so for RM60 food, I pay only RM20 and get back RM81 SmartCash

yes, if you have a lot of smart$, then it is worth to redeem at sushi tei at this moment. but if your smart$ is not much, then not that worth. you only get back twice the amount of smart$ you redeem at sushi tei, not the whole bill.
*
Ok ba. I have RM28 worth of SmartCash. Gonna use them all, remaining pay with cash. Can eat at least RM60, then pay RM32. RM32 entitled to 5%, RM28 smart cash used, get RM56 back. RM56 + RM1.6 = RM57.60. Not bad not bad. Then when almost expire, use to pay for BHP petrol. Hohoho

TnC - Number 8
The maximum Reward payout is capped at 20,000 SMART$ per calendar month and will be awarded on a first come, first served basis, based on UOBM's transaction records. UOBM does not have any obligation to inform any Card member should the reward payout reach the maximum payout limit.

guys, i want to ask, if i have 2 UOB cards, are the smart$ attached to separate cards or they are accessible using either card? what about points?
*
Smart$Rebate is separated and not transferable between UOB cards. Same goes to points. The logic is simple. Do you share your wife with your brother? biggrin.gif

Just to add in case you ask again. If you have credit balance in, say, your UOB Vox card. The credit balance in that card cannot be used to offset the debit balance in your UOB One card. The same logic applies.

I don't agree. For the month of June, my transaction up to 24th was given 5% cashback. It is subjective.

So... I didn't get my petrol cash rebate for transaction on 19 July. Anybody didn't get theirs earlier than mine, regardless of the month?
*
Sorry can't answer you. My statement dates 17 of July and my last pump was on 6th of July. Apply for Aeon Credit Card la. Gives you a rebate on the last Sunday of the month. In fact, they gave special balik kampung for Raya promo too from 17 July to 29 July. 5%...hoho

i want to ask if i can enjoy 5% rebate when purchase online via Paypal ?
i bought xiaomi mi3 last month but i dun see any rebate show on the monthly statement
*
UOB Vox card? Paypal, i'm not sure how it goes. I thought paypal must reload money before can use? It's like u use ur credit card reload into paypal then pay for it. No? Unless it is direct purchase, the you are not entitled for a 5% rebate I think.

Secondly, the mechanism is that your rebate will be shown in your next month's statement. Meaning you buy yday, your purchase reflected your statement released today, your rebates will be reflected in the next statement.

Do you ever read T&C?
"The monthly cash rebates for online spend will be credited into the Cardmember’s account by the 30th day of the following month."

my petrol transaction on 13/7 (posting date 16/7) do not get any rebate
transaction on 26/6 is getting the rebate

i will think the cycle start based at statement date
new rebate cycle start at 26th and end on 25th the next month
*
Actually hor, the CS is abit blur on this too. I tested 2 CS before, and they told me statement as calendar. But T&C says calendar month, meaning monthly. They subsequently apologised told me is monthly. Don't understand their mechanisms though. Anyway I din complain much since I getting cashback and rebates every month. Better than none.

Need some advise on the 3 transactions to waive the GST for new application.
All 3 transactions need to be retail transaction or online transaction like groupon also can?
*
You must call customer service. Last time I call, they said can. 7 mths back. Anyway, what I did for a refund of RM50.

Anyway, GST is NOT waived. You pay first, refund back 3 statements later.

How to get RM50 cashback?

1) Buy a mentos (RM1.50) in tesco. Risk cashier looking at you like an idiot.

2) Pump BHP petrol twice (if you're UOB One Card).

3) If not UOB One, buy mentos 3 times at 3 different tesco locations or 3 different days. Haha
