LOL actually, you're half right. It is forever actually, at least as far as i can see it. I subscribed in February and this offer was there during that period. My e-statement put it as "GST cash back" rather than acquisition cash back.

On another note, anyone had the "Campaign cash back"?? My vox card has it, on top of the GST cashback. Just curious.

this information could be useful for those who are using uob one card too. you will get 5%+2%(smart$) to reload your tng at any day, unlike amex only during weekends with the same benefit of 5%+2%(tp).
*
Hey i'm curious. Go where reload tng can get cashback?? I'm from Penang

i already got my mbb and used for 1 year dy wink.gif

LOL 6k salary apply UOB One Card for what? Go get Citibank Cashback Platinum card. Only RM40k annual salary. Exactly same features like UOB, albeit with more merchant partners, plus ONLY INDIVIDUAL cap for petrol pump cashback of RM50 per month, RM1,000 worth of petrol pump.

UOB One lousy, individual cap of RM300 for classic, RM500 for platinum. Lousy part, UOB comes with nationwide cap of RM900,000 cashback. Once people use up, u won't get any cashback. Citiback Cashback plat don't have such limit, thus good for users.

If I were you, I will use Citibank. I'm using UOB now coz of low salary level. Once my salary reach that stage, byebye to UOB and welcome Citibank.

didnt know they changed policy.
anyway now we are trying to get ocbc world mastercard hopefully it got approved lol!

If your company bank-in to mbb acc, you can definitely open a credit card with the bank.

As for citibank, what policy you mean? I find citibank cashback plat much better.

Just want to inform you guys to check on your latest statement. I pump petrol on the 1st and 12th. And the one on the 12th is given rebate but not the 1st (for April month).

I will call the CS to confirm. I pump RM40 on 1st and RM64 on 12th and given RM3.20 which is exactly the 5% amount for the 12th.
*
You must call. There is a system glitch. I called the other day regarding my march transaction which on 16th march no cashback, but 24th got cashback. They say system error. My 24th pump RM10, 16th pump RM50. LOL they say my 24th should not entitle, so will debit back, then credit back for my 16th. Hahaha

how can they say your 24th should not be entitled? if they able to credit the cashback to you for 24th means their 900k allocation is not yet finished til that time.  hmm.gif
*
Oh not entitled coz oredi finish allocation. The system captured wrongly somehow. The 24th transaction, the system allowed cashback. Guess why. Because the system consider 24th transaction as next month transaction due to my statement is half month overlapping meaning 17th - 16th. LOL

no point guessing here and there, or try to guess how they divide the allocation, unless they give super high 10% or 15% petrol cashback...
as far as i know.. we got few cc that give similar cb to uob one card
*

I have got the cash rebate for that particular transaction.  laugh.gif
I got cash rebate for petrol transaction made on 26th March (posted on 28th March). How about others?
*
System glitch lo. It seems they will amend the cashback and reverse any wrong cashback given. Thus, your next month statement wil have reduced cashback because they need to contra the extra given.

Bugger just called the CS and was inform that my RM3.20 is the rebate given on the first and partial from my second pump. Dafuq? you're telling me pumping half way on the 12th the quota is up? Utter nonsense man. Freaking cheat man and people here mentioning they gotten the rebate for their transaction after mine.

1. Such coincidence Rm3.20 is the 5% of Rm64 which I did the transaction on the 12th?
2. 12 is still consider early for the month
3. There is people here that gotten the rebate for transaction after mine.

I'm canceling this card after clearing my statement. You are officially blacklisted from my choice of cards no matter what card you launching in future.
*
LOL they told me this too, so I said there is something wrong. I did prove to them with my own statement between 2 months. Since my statement is half month basis, 17th to 16th, I bring my Feb-Mar and Mar-Apr because my March 14 pump not cashback, but 24th got cashback. So they say system glitch will credit back. I'm waiting to see my Apr-May statement before I continue with my complains. They can't cheat me. I'm an auditor and my work is to audit. How can such minor discrepancies go pass me unnoticed...LOL. I told them there's no such thing as this month and next month. Your terms and conditions clearly states monthly.

If they insist not to give you the cashback, say you will complain to Bank Negara. Credit card services is under the supervision of bank negara. I told them I will lodge a report with bank negara since what they say conflicts with the terms and conditions.

They should limit this offer to ONLY petrol, not diesel. Maybe limit to RON95 and RON97 only. That way, lorry drivers and diesel drivers will not misuse the card.

Blame UOB for putting a cap on the total rebate given per month,
Blame yourself for not driving a bigger car  whistling.gif

How do you propose Petrol Station do that ?? i.e. Diesel pump only allow CASH PAYMENT or SWIPE at Counter ?
*
No ar. The card, when used at Diesel pumps, not entitled to cash back la. As simple as that. The system can capture the type of pump and petrol used. How difficult can that be? If not, how can the system capture the amount of revenue done from Ron95, 97 and Diesel? It's because the system CAN separate it.

Actually, I was in contact with one of their marketing manager because I applied online and I sort of almost don't want to apply when they send me their marketing staff. Then the manager took over and he said as long as I use the card, I just need to call up when reaching 1 year to get my AF waived. No amount needed, only need to use. I asked if I don't reach 60 swipes, he said it's ok. Just remember to call. ^^

UOB online banking is pretty pathetic. TAC number usually take ages to arrive often more than 30 mins after logging off. If it does arrive on time there will usually errors in downloading eStatements with error code like "%not pdf" file or something like that. If I request for a hard copy instead it warns you that there will be a RM6 charge. Anyone faces the same problem?
*
Really? Mine usually comes no more than 10 secs. I always login to uob acc often to look at my balance lol. Never had problems like urs. And i can assure u that i always login at working hrs and then request tac. Wat time u requested tac? Weird

For the pdf issue, please try to update ur adobe reader. When i use firefox to login, i'll find that error. If i use chrome, i won't find such error. So u can actually try google chrome.

Thanks, I was actually having problems with Chrome browser. Now OK with IE browser which I used very infrequently nowadays. I think it was a plug in issue with chrome.
*
Yup definitely plug-in issue. Try updating your plug in from time to time.

UOB always focuses on high end restaurants. All those pricey ones. Hope they come back with Sushi King rather than Sushi Tei.

And i sincerely hate the UOB Smart$Cash. Why can't they give discounts/cashback instead just like Citibank and CIMB? Haih

as long as bank can waive the AF is good enough

I wont use my smart cash for the GST. I rather use up the Smart Cash 2 months before, then 1 month before due, call to cancel. Direct waiver.

Same here. Was charged with rm69 annual fees. Thy refused to waive it even though I have called them up twice. Then I told them to cancel off my card on the 2nd time calling. Now waiting for the management team to confirm on my termination in 7 working days.

I actually have a monthly installment going on for this card. Anyone knows what would happen to the installment once I terminate the card? UOB will request for me to pay in one lump sum I suppose? I don't mind actually but just wondering if this installment might cause any problem in the termination of the cc.
Thanks

Is your 0% IPP and Easi-Payment Plan? If 0%, the remaining amount will be debited into your account. If EPP, the remaining amount + RM50 (early settlement admin fees) will be debited.

bro, one more question, when can i get the rebates for 5jun petrol pump?
*
It depends on your statement date. 5 June transaction will usually be posted on 7th June.

My statement for eg, 17th of last mth to 16th of this mth. In simple terms, 17th May to 16th June.

So if I pump on the 5th, it will appear on this June's statement.

And, never pump after 20th of each month. Usually, 900k will finish by 20th. I used this card for a few mths, and never see my post-20th statement get any cashback. As such, I usually pump full tank on 17th or 18th of every month.
