My advise is don't take 200k loan but 180k loan.
I took 200k loan already and not printed in the book, but a cert.

Why 180k?

Maximum fund you can purchase is 200k. And you already have 20k in ASB.
Why want to take more loan and pay more interest?

ASB has two type of deposits - passbook or certificate. right now you have certificates, which are held by the bank for guarantee against the loan amount

any dividends and bonus earned will be credited into your passbook

if you are eligible for 200k and want to maximise the dividend, take out the 20k, park it inside AS1M. it can earn you 6.7%, which can offset the interest slightly

oic, then you're very lucky indeed rclxms.gif

One thing I hate most when there's old uncle / auntie before my turn for top-up ASx. Why? because they would bring a lot of passbook (diff ASx scheme) & try2 until the staff very angry & no mood. When my turn comes, there's no units or the staff no mood to check or "layan" me. True Story yo nod.gif

Asking this again since I did not get any answer/advice on this.

Quick lame questions.

1. How those who took up ASB loan, we can actually pay more to reduce the principal once we have the money right?

2. Should I use the additional money to reduce ASB loan principal or look for other investment?

I think I understand. If that case, there are really no point of purchasing ASG and ASN3, can I say that?

The best way is to wait for gov to issue new fund. thumbup.gif

depend you your personal opinion. ASN3 and ASG give quite high dividend too.
