BNM is enforcing a 10-yr tenure limit on personal loan

ASB financing falls under personal loan

at worst, new ASB financing loans will not be offered

at best, new ASB finaning loans will be offered with the tenure capped to 10 yrs as opposed to 25 - 30 yrs presently

Say, if I have 20k in my asb, if I take up the loan, how will the payment go?
My initial limit will be 220k?

your limit will be 200k. not 220k.

So, what's the new balance in my asb book? Do I need to take out the 20k?

My advise is don't take 200k loan but 180k loan.
I took 200k loan already and not printed in the book, but a cert.

Why 180k?

I asked, maybank islamic asb loan:

1199 monthly
(they did a recalculation based on new system, pprt)
25yrs
200k loan
BLR 1.65 throughout 25 yrs tenure
No exit fee or penalty

I have enough for 2 yrs installment, own money.
Should I take the loan or not?

i took asb loan from mbb too.. from what i gathered last time, it is positive given blr stay the same or reduce.. tongue.gif
the accumulated dividend (if not withdraw) is bigger than monthly saving, at same amount..

So, it is a good deal yeah? I'm planning to get it.
Waiting for more replies.

monthly payment will increase, asb dividend control by PNB not maybank. but maybank website still showing the old rate. but sometime this tactic use by banker to accumulate more loan in short time. Last 2 month also said no more asb loan next year but at the end it just a hoax. Just wait & see.

I see.. I already got my loan approved last month. smile.gif
