looks like some people are very interested about ASx "top-up" thing. even asking the place & time shakehead.gif for those "silent" readers I'm sure they would "quietly" trying to "top-up" next week. Confirm sure no units available one (based on my previous experience) sad.gif

Available for the time being, but  if every bumi putting their epf money in as1m then the qouta will be filled up pretty quick. I dont think that is happening very soon though because most of them do not care of the extra 1 to 2% every year. If only they know the power of compunding interest over the years surely they wont ignore it.
*
Still a lot units available. Last time I heard people talking got around 2Bil +/- units available. Now don't know how much available hmm.gif

so i went to ASNB office today for EPF re-investment thingy

bummer. only ASG or ASN products are available - that is variable fund

AS1M quota for EPF reinvestment is sold out sad.gif

I'll study ASG returns vs EPF dividend this year and see if it is worth the time to reinvest or not
*
eh how come quota can sold-out? shocking.gif ASNB/PNB trying so hard to sell the balance Bumi units of AS1M yet people cannot use EPF money to subscribe it doh.gif

or EPF already "lack of fund" thus "sold-out" thingy hmm.gif rclxub.gif

sorry to say, but most probably the new fund will be limited to bumi only

this is due to the demands by some quarters who say the 200k asb limit is too restrictive

that's the speculation that i got from the bank's inner circle. maybe right, maybe wrong

but one thing is certain, OPR will increase by 0.10 - 0.15% and so will BLR

be prepared.
*
woh, why so high OPR increase. I expect only 0.05% smile.gif
anyway let's wait for the news icon_rolleyes.gif

Yape... it is so not fair..

Anyway, as long as the fund is not launched yet, just hope for miracle although the chances for miracle to happen is very low..

If really miracle happens, then it would be a bonus..

I hope for the best in tis year 2014 smile.gif

there are news projecting that the BLR will increase by 0.25% to 0.50%..
*
BNM policy is somehow unpredictable. when people expect OPR increase, they maintain it. when people expect it to raise 0.75%, they increase 0.25% only shakehead.gif

that's why I said let's wait for the announcement icon_rolleyes.gif

OPR will increase, definitely.

it won't be as low as 0.05% as you expected wink.gif

0.5% will definitely wreck havoc in the banking industry.
*
okay, my mistake for expecting low OPR increase blush.gif
tomorrow evening we should know the "actual" news icon_rolleyes.gif

I think many are overlooking the role of the SC here. For those who have followed the unit trust industry long enough will know that SC is not in favor of fixed priced funds.

But as you say, anything can happen in boleh land thus you have Najib just over ruling everyone with one simple speech.
*
Most of unitholders tend to forget SC as party overlooking the UT industry including me blush.gif & most of us are very "hungry" for those Fixed priced fund. that's why u see here almost "everyone" are hoping for new fixed price funds or increase existing fixed price funds size nod.gif

anyway let's wait & see how "desperate" our gomen want the people money like happen in 2009 whistling.gif

hahahahah, BNM are somehow "unpredictable". when majority people expect OPR to increase, they maintain it at 3%.

Bank Negara did mention Q2 as the date to effect the rate framework change rite? So the decision to maintain the OPR rate in Q1 isnt exactly surprising.
*
yeah, but the so-called "economist" are so sure OPR would increase tis time smile.gif

I think should be no problem if done over the counter, but online sure got problem hmm.gif
Just think about it, if they open in others state & cannot do ASNB transaction, whole day just wasting time doing nothing & get "free" salary only for that day.. nod.gif
