QUOTE(plumberly @ Feb 8 2014, 10:34 AM) Surprising, unrealistic and suspected hidden hands at work. yup, only year 2012... 2013 not yet ready Do you have their annual report? Why? Want to see which companies they invest in and I just follow. Ha Just kidding. I think some political hidden hands are at work here to give this kind of very high return. My guess is to "reward" the armed forces to keep them in line with those at the top. Just my view. Cheerio. http://www.ltat.org.my/webltat/borg/LTATAnnualReport2012.pdf after u "analyze", please do update your opinion |

QUOTE(plumberly @ Feb 8 2014, 03:24 PM) Thanks. if their investment staff are so good, WB need to learn from them In BM only. So ..... I wonder, with such good performance, if these investment staff go out and operate their own companies, they would be very much in demand and making millions millions. But maybe there are things we do not see on the surface Cheerio. P/S Second half is in English. Bagus. |

QUOTE(tbheng @ Feb 8 2014, 09:27 PM) Just to share my first visit to ASNB counter at PNB before CNY. I think what she mean was, to get 100units, available units need to be min 10k units I filled 3 acct opening forms aiming to open anyone of ASW, AS1M or ASM. Waited 45min for my number to be served. The teller said only accept cash (no cash cheque as some mentioned here). She said they have to process new acct opening even without knowing if there is any available units. A moment later she shown me 3 new passbooks but told me no available units and she had to destroy all the 3 books. Looking at those to-be-destroyed passbooks with my name printed, I was so disappointed and left with empty handed and gone for lunch. After lunch I recoup my hope and went back to try my luck once more before heading home. I took another number, when my number was called, I landed with the same teller. (Oh man... what is the chances of this happening with 6, 7 counters actively servicing?) She glared at me and said calmly that I can't retry on the same day, the system will clear my details only at night. I ended up opening ASG with the 2% SC offer. (I won't top up after this offer is over.) And she was kind enough to help check again if any available unit for ASW/AS1M/ASM. Again failed. Fated. She said to open new acct, must minimally have 10k units before can place 100 units to new book. Not sure how true is that or some other unknown/hidden factors barring my account opening. Seeing the challenge to open new acct and further challenges to top up, I am putting my money elsewhere. Spending time on other higher yielding instruments that work for me. Oh ya, forgot to mention, I got a free nice laptop backpack from ASNB. Not bad u got "something" from ASNB. I didn't get any "gift" even I invested in their ASx funds for years This post has been edited by davinz18: Feb 9 2014, 02:45 PM |

QUOTE(plumberly @ Feb 18 2014, 01:33 PM) Congratulations! it's depend on the banks staff "mood". Sometimes they're very2 friendly can "try" for 5-6 times also no problem. there's also staff even before "trying" already said to customer "Saya cuba 1 kali sahaja okay" ZERO success for me lately. I have been asked by at least 3 bank staff so far to go to ASNB for the top up as ASNB has better and faster system for the top up! BS. Thinking of writing to the banks and ASNB to raise the issue that some bank staff are not that "friendly/helpful/etc" when it comes to customers wanting to top up their ASX. What is the difference between this and customer depositing/withdrawing money at the counter? Cheerio. Some very2 "smart" staff even said "we cannot key-in more than 3 times, if not need to give memo to ASNB HQ" |

QUOTE(csl1987 @ Feb 19 2014, 01:18 PM) Currently I only have ASM. Can I open AS1M & ASW2020 at pos office? The staff told me I must go to the PNB branch for account opening now since there is no new launching...is that so? u can "try" at ASNB branch but remember if there's no unit available, they would "destroy " the newly "printed with your name" ASx passbook. Make sure u got the "strength" to hold your feelings together anyway No harm "trying", you won't be fine or charge in court for doing so |

QUOTE(csl1987 @ Feb 19 2014, 04:03 PM) thanks for the prompt reply~I will try my luck at the ASNB branch if I were to take leave in the future, only their HQ is relatively closer to me, they don't have many offices No problem Anyway, today I went to post office 3 times...no luck in getting any ASM next week u can "try" again if you're free, now units are already "sold-out" maybe because some "silent" forumer went to "try" & managed to get the units before you |
