test drive car not equipped with ABS liao.
i tak diajar untuk emergency brake. i only diajar untuk tekan brake pelan-pelan.
i think is common sense to brake hard when needed.
Stepping on the brakes hard in emergency is like a instinct, the action took place before the brain can react. It will take years and a lot of drivings to perfect what to react during emergency because the driver's reflexes and situation analysis needs to be done in just a few short fraction of a sec. Even the best drivers in the world still screw up once a while due to distraction. What's more for the average drivers like us.
My teacher also thought me to brake slowly and not too hard on the brakes to avoid lock up. My learning car was a Datsun 120Y. Then when go to test is using Kancil.

Ayam same era with you....but my instructor taught me no such thing

In fact, sometimes my instructor falls asleep while I was driving

Different instructor different teaching. I wonder does our driving school now have a fix syllables or not my time I was only told that I need to perform XXX hours of driving before can test, then on test day must do 3 point turn and side parking..etc.....that's it....but I didn't even fulfill the required time to able me for the test because before I have my license my mum had already taught me how to drive. That time I was driving Datsun 120Y, 130Y, then Congo van and C20 van. The 1st time I experienced driving was at the age of 9 at Penang with a Citroen ZX at night. It was my uncle who put me into the driver's seat. From there on, my mum has started to let me drive around in the place we stay and to nearby store in Puchong. Even when we move to Seremban practically I'm doing most of the driving with my mum supervising. I did screw up a few times with the Congo and C20 van mostly when I accidentally did a shift lock when shifting into 2nd gear when the vehicle speed was too fast for 2nd gear the rear differential will lock up and to add salt on that it happen during turning.
The most funny part is that during the 3 point turn test. I manage to do it in 2 turns only. The JPJ officer stop me and tell me to go do a 3 point turn again. I also garu kepala because my understanding is the 3 point turn you cannot do more than 3 times but didn't mention you cannot do less than 2 also....
